Default Finally a run in with an M5

So finally, just finally I get a run in with an M5. I've been in some heavy debates on the Beemer forums recently and thought i'd take my frustration out on the first "M" car I see. So today I got that chance. I'm cruising down Interstate 5 on my way to the Bay Area and I see a burgundy color 5-series beemer coming up behind me. I could tell it wasn't your average because of the front fascia. I continue to cruise along doing about 80 when he gets very close behind me, pretty much riding my *** the whole time. So I move aside to let him pass and he looks at me with a sort of cocky grin and passes by. I think to myself 'okay' and move back in the fast line right up behind him. I stalk him for about a mile and finally he decides to give it some gas. So I procede to get on the throttle a bit and move to the lane next to him and that's when he guns it. So do I. Needless to say I left him like it was nobody's business! I mean like a couple bus lengths lol. By time I lifted I looked down and the speedo said 140, so I assumed I may have hit 150 or so. There was no heavy traffic in front of us so no one was in danger. Once I slowed I saw him in my rear view just sort of cruising. I slowed down a bit to see if he would catch up for another run but it seems as if he was trying to avoid me. All in all it was a real adrenaline rush. Nothing like whoopin' on a 90k european luxury!

It looked stock to me. Not loud or anything. Stock tailpipes and all.

I had to go to Pinole to pick up a lady friend. What part are you in?

Your 'V isn't the same one in the recent GMHTP article is it? I ask because the rw #s seem exactly the same.

Two nights ago, I played a little cat and mouse for a few miles with an 08+ M5, this thing was loud as hell, but I kept up with him the entire time. I was really shocked by the outcome, but he basically took off, so he got the hit and I chased him and gained a little, but we were doin 140+ before I got stuck from other cars. sry dont mean to highjack but I love your car

Does the car have the same mods as mine (refer to sig). If so then that's probably why. lol When it comes to bolt-on/stock blower cars with stock heads/cam & intake, numbers from car to car are always going to be pretty close.

Just amazing the power of those LSA's. I find it rediculous that your Beemer site even had the gaul to think that a new M5 would stand a chance against a stock LSA, less yet one modded. But maybe that's influenced by the fact I don't like M series drivers.

Good Kill/ slaughter OP!
