raced a whistling ricer out of the gas station the other day. he saw me behind him and decided he had to prove a point to his girl friend with him. let just say i dont think she got the point he intended. by 60 he was way back.

5.0 pulled up on me saturday night while me and a friend were just crusin. he had a track number but no times on the windshield and a big tach on the dash when i look over. he punched it at 40 and at 70 he was 3 cars back.

why is it that the one car in town you see around that you want to race you can never catch up to. there is a bad *** saleen,sound bad, i always pass going the other direction or am in the gas station when he flys by. cant wait to post that race if i ever catch him.
btw what does a saleen run?

As for the saleen it depends on what type it is. Theres a few models of them.

Basically, the standard 281 is alittle faster then a normal GT, nothing to worry about at all. (Mid 13's)

There is a supercharged S-281E, which is pretty quick, but you shouldnt have a problem still. (I think they run mid 12's)

Then there is a badass S-351, which if I remember correctly has 500 somethin HP and is really fast. (High 11's??) Fortunately for us, they are very rare comparitively.

the S281-E runs low 12's and dynos 4XX rwhp.The sc-S281 runs low-mid 13s.They don't make S351s anymore and they are very rare.The regular s281 are Gts with a body kit and exhaust.Maybe a pulley.
