Lost!!!! To an STI.
I was driving on a long backroad that leads to the highway in my 2002 ws6. I notice ahead of me is a 2010 Subaru STI. i get even with him and we start talking just about his car and my car. we come to a red light with absolutly nothing but cornfield on both sides. i can tell by his thumbs up and smile that he was ready to run. it turned green and he obviously destroyed me off the line with the awd. but to my surprise he stayed ahead! in the end i he let off and i was about a car lenght behind him. Im not sure what (if anything) was done to it other than exhaust, but it was quick. I run high 12s and gained a new level of respect for those cars.
Also, i saw the same guy a few days later on my cbr 954. i dropped a gear and blew by him, he just laughed and left me alone.

Respectable death. I don't care much for subies. Too many freinds with them that have dropped trannies or had other dumb problems for me to really appreciate the cars much. There are def quick ones out there though.

Can't win them all. What mods do you got? What exactly did your car run in the 1/4? From my experience racing those Sti's and Evo's is that if you can stop there pull before 60mph than you inevitably will reel them in. Maybe he had a boost controller that dialed in more boost with each gear.?? Guy up here has that on his Accord: pretty cool idea actually.

My friend has a built 2006 with different gearing, forged internals, bigger turbo, injectors, tuned, etc...
The outcome it not surprising in the least because you raced a beast.

I talked to him today at our local autozone and he claims that all he has done to it is exhaust, intake, a differnt BOV, and lowered it and put performance tires on it.
I have c-force clutch, Z06 flywheel, long tube headers, 85mm throttle body, smooth bellow slp, with k&n filter, torch arm bar and pan handling bars, all polyurethane bushings, tranny mount and motor mounts, slp loudmoth exhaust, and nitto NT-404s.
My best time was a 12.63. usually run high 12s.

Sounds like it's time for a cam, heads, headers, fuel and a tune.
You can see an STI, Evo and a whole mix in here.
