Default built foxbody vs 02wssix

so i have this neighbor that stays a couple houses down and he has a foxbody which sounds like a mild cam and a procharger... we had a little fun with one good pul from 30-about 55 dead even all the way, he gave me thumbs up and told me my car was fast. we are going to run in a couple of days...How do u guys think i would do against it? i will try to get some vids and post them when i do...

If its properly set up he will eat you alive and it won't even be close. Hell even a stock motor fox with a procharger should eat you up. So if you race and its close then there is something seriously wrong with his car

righttttttttttt!!!!!!!!

Yes he dose have you on the weight side. But you really don't know what he has done. See if he will pop the hood for you. Hell he is you neighbor. But I would maybe throw a 100 dry shot in there just in case it gets ugly for you. Im just sayin.

At the mustang owners who want to call bs. Me and OP raced and he kept up with an H/C ls1 quite good so this run sounds about right. That WS6 is quite an impressive performer.

Keep up the good races Manny!

Back in the day, I saw a guy with an otherwise bone stock motor, cat-back exhaust and a vortech S-trim at 15 psi. The guy made somewhere around 330rwhp and run it into the low 12s on drag radials. I think you'll have your hands full as most fox-bodies with cams also have heads, intake, and bolt-ons before picking the cam. The guy is probably putting down 300rwhp minimum and should win in an extended run with a stock LS1.

If he's done other mods he could be making much much more.

I wouldnt be openly admitting that I have a slow H/C LS1.....but thats just me.

Now cue the excuses of why a stock WS6 gave your H/C LS1 a run for its money.

Haha his car runs well, orrrrrrrrrrrrr you have one seriously slow ls1 or cant drive plain and simple. No lid only ls1 will keep up with a H/C ls1 in the same car. Im sorry but its just not going to happen unless there is one of the two things I stated earlier. There are factory freaks yes but none that can run with a H/C car that has the same motor

Agreed. Mine has always been a strong bolt-on car, but I get destroyed by well maintained H/C cars. It's amazing what a bad tune or inconsistent maintenance can do to a car's performance.

There is a lot of non believers but it's ok. Even if that foxbody does beat me I wouldn't be mad because it took a procharger to beat a stock LS. hey Yan we should make a vid running both cars for people like ftlbyt

Manny, I own a car that makes around 3 times as much power as yours does. That said, if you stomped the gas in first gear before I did, you'd probably get from 30-55 before I did. 0-60 in 4.9 or so, but at 30mph you're already in the powerband. It's probably going to take you less than a second to get there, assuming you can do it in first. It's just that it's not a long-enough race to tell anything - are you the better driver, or do you have the faster car? Who knows?
