i thought the big thing those programmers added was tq not a lot of hp. and aren't injectors like insane expensive?

I ve seen them run 11's at bay town...with them shitty *** mud an snow tires on them too...i know they have all wheel drive, but I was amazed

gregrob you should probably do some research before you open your mouth.

and as far as the being fast of the line and at high way speed autos are fast of the line but slow as at high way speeds and manuals are the opposite as far as diesels are concerned. and i dont see how any of you are gonna argue with me i was driving his truck two of the times that we raced so i know it was not driver error.

AWDTBSS injectors are expensive for trucks with the common rail injection system but the truck im refering to is a 24V cummins the injectors were only about two hundred dollars shipped and we installed them at home

i know a guy with one and i think he said it was like 200-300 per injector. sounds like a waste of money to make those go fast, rather buy a corvette or a 4dr LSx for the money those things cost.

Local guy has an 04 duramax. His best et before he blew his auto trans was 11.05. He upgraded his turbo setup and injectors with a 200 shot of nitrous on top. he is hoping for 10.5s lol

that sounds about right for a common rail. and as far as making it fast that was not my brothers intent he just upgraded as he needed to make it tow his jeep or a 40 footer full of four wheelers better and it just happened to make it quick too

You should probably get some real world experience before you open yours. I've used that programmer, sold my buddies several of them and the hottest tune does NOT add 425 ******* hp, period.

It's hot, but it's not that hot. Even a custom EFI Live tune wont add that much on a stock truck. With supporting mods to include injectors and turbo, then yes its possible.

LOL like he just said he didn't say it would add that much he clearly said its what the claimed. And if you gonna bash someone make sure you don't look dumb in the process.

saw atleast 5-6 of them at the track tonite not a single one broke 14s and all trapped 87-89mph

All I know is I wanna duramax... And a trailer to pull my 12 sec race car haha jk about the race car thing but none the less diesel trucks are sweet dd's! Btw I know a buddy of mine that lives in baytown! He's always telling me about these sick LS cars and bad *** diesels

So much misinformation in this thread. It is sickening.

Spartan tuned power stroke 6.4's are pissing on everything right now as far as tuner only is concerned and they don't have a 6-speed auto. Also I would say my truck pulls just fine up top, even though it's a 4 speed auto.

Chevy's often put down good 1/4 times not because they a have a six speed auto, but because they weigh about 1000 pounds less than ford or dodge.

At Pinks All Out in Atlanta the was a Dodge Cummins that turned a 10.33 and made it to the final 16
