2000 Camaro with a H/C LS3 vs 2004 CBR 600 with VIDEOS
Ok, last night i met up with a friend of mine who has an LY6 block that is bored to LS3 specs, CNC ported LS3 PRC heads and a G6X3 cam. Essentially it is an ironblock LS3 with heads and cam. He has a 3800 stall and a turbo 350 trans with 3.23 gears.
We met up with a guy who has a 2004 CBR 600RR with a PCIII that is TUNED as well as Yoshi exhaust. He does have stock gearing, though. We wanted to do some runs between the two because the Camaro barely lost to a GSXR 750 earlier this summer.
So from 60-110, the bike pretty much got a carlength. The Camaro missed the 2-3 shift and shut down.
From 60-140 it was pretty much even. I thought the car would be able to edge him out just a bit but unless they were to go up to around 160ish, it wouldntve happened. On to the vids!

Ok, my mistake. I went back and looked at one of my old posts about his car's mods and saw that they are indeed PRC heads, not Patriot. They are CNC LS3 PRC ported heads.
He also has longtubes and true duals. I think that he put down a little over 490 with the converter unlocked.
Also, the rider is only about 140lbs and has been riding for years and did well.

Good races, those bikes are damn fast! As more and more reliable sources post up bike vs car races, I notice less and less from the "my bolt-on LT1 pulled a bike" crowd
I'm also curious about the missed shift with an auto thing, though, as I've never driven a TH350 swapped car either.

x3 on the missed shift? I'm assuming you mean he just hit the limiter, resulting in the bike taking off and just not worth it to chase.
The bike's year and rider make such a difference. For example, when I run my buddy who weighs 220 on his 03 ZX6R, I walk away from him on my 07 GSXR600 (I weigh 153). Both bone stock 600's, but my bike being newer is a bit faster, plus the lighter weight makes the difference even greater.
I've never run a 750 but he's been riding/racing/stunting for a LONG time and has multiple bikes, and he says that a 750 pulls on my bike with a rider like me about the same as I pull on him when he's on his ZX6R. If the guy on the 750 that the Camaro ran wasn't the best rider and/or weighed significantly more than the guy on this CBR600, I can see why the results were similar with the 750 just doing a little better than the 600 (based on your story and the videos). Plus the CBR was tuned with exhaust you said, so that will pick him up a little bit and probably put him closer to a newer 600.
Thanks for the vids!

Yes he missed the shift because he tapped the limiter and was late on the shift. I cut the video off but i was laughing at him for missing a shift in an auto.
The newer 600s definitely have a bit more than the older ones. I'd say typically 8-10hp and 3-6mph in the 1/4 as a ballpark estimate. This guy was also using the clutch. Although he did shift fast, it could be faster if he shifted clutchlessly. The guy with the 750 beat the same car by 3ish cars. Now that 750 has -1 +2 gearing so itd be even worse.
I am actually planning on getting rid of my 08 and getting my hands on a new ZX10 or possibly the new BMW S1000rr.

I had a brand new 07 R1 and I am coming off the 08zx10r. This bike crushes all. My favorite tech piece is the anti wheelie. I keep the throttle wide open and the tire comes up about 4 inChes and comes back down. All while at WOT.
