$45 to a lawyer and they were gone? Damn how old are you? that must of been in the 50's. These days it cost $100 just to talk to a lawyer.

I have ran from the cops and gotten away to. But only because another guy behind me was running too and he ended up gettin t-boned for trying to run a red light. Thats the only way I got away. Since then i have never gone back to "organized" street races..........

No, it was in the mid to late 80's around the DFW area. I got all but a few dismmissed with just paying the lawyer. Don't know how it worked but it saved my azz. Some of the more serious offenses (reckless driving, etc.) were more like $100. Cops were alot more lenient back then though.

I have run from the cops numerous times while we are out playing in the mud hole, and dirt roads.....one time I almost got caught was with my friend in his Jeep and was being chased by a Silverado with a supercharger and 36's, well since we were in a jeep we made him go on a huge hill that my friend normally got stuck on but he gunned it that time and the cop got high centered, later we were pulled over by another cop a block from my house and he asked how me got so much mud on the truck and my friend said we got sprayed by a water puddle. That was some scary **** never gonna do that again.

Any running or speeding around a cop is stupid!!! I wish some of you morons would try that crap in Bama or Florida (on the Bama line). Y'all would be shut down rapidly. Such mercurial driving is assanine.

Well at least in my case (with the car) it wasn't really a pursuit but trying to hide as quick as possible. Not to mention this was over 15 years ago. The dirtbike issue is another story. Mainly my friends and I hiding out in back of commerical areas in the trees and riding through side streets to get away. Pretty stupid stuff now that I look back upon it but nothing like a true car chase. Now that I never would have done. The original post sounds similar to my instance where I just kept on going and then hid.

like i said, they just need to try that with a texas state troopers. like i said that if you are moving at a high rate of speed, at least 130+ and the cop is at a dead stand still, then you can prolly run. other circumstances just will not work!

I would pull over, what if you blow a tire and kill someone. And, many of the cops around University of West Florida (where I went last sem, diff school this sem, AGH!!!) are driving Z's so running would be really dumb.

that's why god invented the radio.

"central, this is car #17, I got a red camaro or firebird just blew by me doing about a buck twenty, buck thirty, on route 218. we got anybody a couple miles down the road? yeah then let buford know this bandit's on his way. tell the gang to set up a roadblock at the 314 exit if this guy gets by buford."

you can't outrun the radio.

I would rather pay up than risk hurting someone.

"I took off. Another surprise! He ends the pursuit with the Z to follow me! YES!!!! I am absolutely flying to try to get to somewhere to hide so he can't find me, but he hauls ***, sees me turn into some apartments, and does the whole "GET OUTTA THE CAR, HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!!!"

Numb nuts what you described here is a chase.

A. You bald faced lied to us.

B. You ran and got caught like the grabasstic butt monkey you are.

Which one is it. You said you ran and then you said you did not. You are a liar dear sir and need to keep your facts straight, or buy a VTEC and we will expect that from you.
