I had a '86 TA with the 305 in it when I was 16 and I thought it was fast. Probably a 15second 1/4mile. I wish someone would've told me I was wrong.

Yeah, I as well as a lot of people just rag on fords, but GOSH DARNIT... in southern cali, you got kids whose parents jus buy em anything they want... At my old highschool there were 4 saleens and like... 2 or 3 roush's. There was one kid with a foxbody [my buddy, Christian France].. fuggin scary man. He dropped as much into his stang as I did into my 70 Buick. Both ran pretty equal til I put slicks on but.. christ. His stang ran 11.86's with everything, it costed him around 6 grand. In south cali, with the stuck up rich kids, thats about a month worth of racing. I hate fords, jus cause they are fords but damn... some of those lil fuggers are quick .

Lets not abuse God's name we may need Him. My sis went to Gulf Shores HS last sem and I am not joking the majority of her classmates had Lexses, mercedes, BMW's, Hummers, Escalades, and crap like that (however, you spell all those expensive cars, our family can't spell 'em let alone afford 'em, LOL, I only have a LS1 cause I was thoroughly blessed on the deal). I have never seen parking lots like this. It was unreal the kinda cars these kids drove. I liked to embarass them after school. One day I was picking my sister up and there was this girl with a Mercedes SUV (80,000 or something like that, she wrecked her new mercedes car so her parents bought her this for her protection). She was a complete butt hole and just rude about it. She drove like a dog and on this particular day she kept cutting people off and mess. We were in downtown Gulf Shores, and we were at a red light. She guns it to get over in my lane (where she kept slowing down). Well, I had had enough of enough so I stepped on it and shot past her, stuck my head out the window pointed and laughed (we were in a whole traffic jam of HS kids who thoroughly enjoyed her embarassment). She never looked at me again, LOL. My sis would tell me how you could not be in certain clubs if you did not own certain cars or cars that cost so much. What snots. I like it there but I am glad to have moved this sem.

My only problem with this is why a kid so cocky that's 16 which inevitably his parents give him everything, only managed to put $5 down on a race? Run out of milk money big homey? I'm just tired of arrogant posts from arrogant kids that mommy gives them everything. I'm a senior in HS and have bought my camaro and all work that's been done to it is my labor and my money for parts. I dont turn the key for anything under $100 Mr. high-stakes

i know how you feel, im in college with a paid for ls1 in sig and my z71 in sig. i get told im spoiled by lazy *** people all the time. i paid for every penny in my car and truck by hard work and legal side jobs. nothing was given. you appreciate a fast car much more when you build it yourself and your own money.

My parents bought the car from my cousin for a really good price. I had to TALK him into racing for money but it was mainly for bragging rights. And btw, i pay for all of my mods and labor. So until you know what you're talking about..... shut up.

How can you end a post where the guy you are quoting was 99% correct with "so until you know what you're talking about .... shut up" ????
Dude, everyone here pays for their mods .... and I would say 99% of the members of this board also pay for their cars. I'm pretty sure most of us also work on our own cars (I think it's the fun part), and saves you on those labor costs.
Either way, he was perfectly correct, and you are way too arrogant ....

What I personally believe you should do is change your sig ending to ...
"you got beat by 16 year old driving his parents car, which he modded slightly"

And then I would take that new part, copy and paste it over to your sig on the mustang forums, and take it out of the one here ... since their aren't many cars on this board you could race where that phrase would hold water.

Just some suggestive advice ...

you officially cannot be cocky if you say something like "i pay for labor" woohoo! i don't. . . i DO the labor. given, my truck is much simpler, but i'm learning as i go, and have done some fairly difficult things, like changing gears. am i cocky? HELL NO. my truck sucks right now because i'm out of money. am i a guru? no. do i know hat i consider a decent amount about cars for a 17 year old? yes. do i know about chevy 4x4s? HELL YES, this is compared to the dumbasses at my school. do i brag about paying for all my work? no. do i brag about doing it? no, but i will make a point out of it, not that other people CAN'T work on their equally as simple trucks, just that they don't take the time to, or time to figureout how to. it bothers me when 'enthusiasts' begin getting this wealth of knowledge on how-tos and whatnot and then send their car off to put on lowering springs. just my opinion, but people are getting way too far away from what i consider half the fun- working on the car. anyway, yeah, you got a nice car for a 16 year old. don't brag though. brag about what you got on your own, or did yourself, not had bought for you.

I think flaming is a hobby to most of us. I love any type of debate or conflict.

Hmm... not so much as a pet peeve for me... I just refrain from using it as much as possible because I know it is offensive to people... Unfortunately in the heat of being pissed off, it slips once in a while...

As for LS1Brent... yeah, not the kill, the way you said it and ****. You act all cocky and ****, and because you are knocking fords, you think that the people on this forum are gonna back you up... I guess you learned your lesson. Dont get all ***** and say that you wouldnt have posted the kill if you knew you were gonna get flamed. Hey we all say some stupid stuff. You should now know how to talk (and not talk) on this forum...
