He had a fairly big cam too.. No way a "cam only" 5.0 is gonna take a new SS with a average driver. Especially from a roll.

+1! I know some *** hat thats local and has a cam in his 5.0. Thought it was the fastest thing on the planet. He wouldnt stop talking **** to me, so I shut him up. He runs 13.9's @ 99mph.

That is hilarious! For the stock heads, the stock cam really is the best thing for it, maybe some 1.7s instead of 1.6s but that is it. I know this because I was just DYING to put a cam in my old 87 notch, but then after doing my homework I decided going slower was not worth the sweet lope at idle I would have paid money to see your car race a 13.9 car A cam only pushrod 5.0 isn't going to take a new SS in anything besides the looks department (oh ****, I've gone and done it now!)

Sad thing was, he was so confident in his 5.0 that he wanted to put money up!

I think this is funny I all ways see the same people in the killstorys the ford guys and the ls guys why don't we all meet up in some state and get it on I think that would be the **** I would love to run that 331 I have
