He did shut down the first run before we hit 100, I would've caught up I'm sure if we kept going because I have a lot more crank hp than he does.

Power to weight he wins.

Power to drag you win.

High powered Hondas are mid-speed beasts.

Exactly and especially since he shut off at around or before 100 there was no way in hell I was going to win.

See sig. I respect anyone who posts a loss as long as they are not a douche about it.

Na man, it's clearly embarrassing that I got beat by a car that looks like a POS and is not an LS1 and costs 1/10 of what any LS1 does.

Cute fanboys around here.

I didn't even realize both of the quotes in my sig apply to this situation. Most of the people on here wouldn't post a loss to another non-LS car to save their life. When done right, Hondas move out. We are so used to seeing the 16 second ones with huge fart can mufflers that give the good ones a bad name. Respectable death.

I agree with Itsslow90 embarassing.
I would have no shame getting beat by a honda. They are light and that is thier HUGE advantage. Doesn't take much to get them to move.

What would something "cool" be though? a 200 HP SN95 mustang? (No offense meant) Just because it sounds good doesn't mean it's fast!

Theres no such thing as aftermarket "heads" for a honda really. The stock heads outflow any other 4 cyl in comparison. I could see 210-220whp from a mild H22 build off spray. Fully built and cammed out with nice headwork would be 260-270whp but the car would suck dick to drive.

I know that civic very well. Run's pretty good, but you definitely screwed up being in 2nd gear @ 1k RPM. Good death

at 40 in my car I am a 3000rpms in 2 gear(a dead spot). 35-50(top of 1 and bottom of 2) I just wont race. 50 and higher or 35 and lower I can do.

I can see a dead spot at 3500rmp or lower but 4000rpm dont sound right. 4000rmps cant be that big of a dead spot for you. Your cam should pull from 4000 to about 6000 or so.
