I can see a dead spot at 3500rmp or lower but 4000rpm dont sound right. 4000rmps cant be that big of a dead spot for you. Your cam should pull from 4000 to about 6000 or so.
This is why I drive sticks!

Yeah it's not bad under the hood, ugly as hell outside but it's hilarious watching it beat up on cars

I was at 4k well into my powerband. Don't know what I was thinking when I posted this tbh.

Like I said before, I got beat like a freight train fair and square. Awesome car, props to him, I really liked it.

what i think happened is that the honda just pulled the OP so hard he felt like he was not in his powerband. no disrespect intended, it just always feels like something is wrong with your car when the car you are racing seems like its beating you effortlessly. i raced a 2500hd gasser in my diesel duty and thought i was gonna destroy him, as i have many other HD gassers, but this guy rolled right past me, and i was like WTF?, i thought something was wrong.

I concur. I was in my power band. I guess it just shocked me so much I wanted to find some excuse to justify it but looking back I have no need for an excuse. He had a great running car which proved that a mere $3,000 and knowing what you're doing can destroy a $45,000 "muscle/performance/pony/sports" car. (Yes I paid that much for my car)

OP were you using the paddle shifters? Don't. End of story. They are garbage.

Also, get a tune..It wakes the car up, night and day difference.

Props to OP posting a lost against a Honda..You were coming back pretty good on the N/A run. Maybe hes running more than a 50, but who knows.

Time to mod! or at least a tune for the auto SS
