Properly build civics are no joke. A stripped down non AC civic from 92-95 can come in under 2000lbs without a driver. Ive seen local one with K20 swaps and just bolt ons run as well as that H22 did with nitrous.

Either way you should NOT be starting a race at 1000rpm... Unless you always plan to lose!

Good kill to the civic with the nitrous... and decent run not on spray. And if he has anything to say about being faster for cheaper etc... jsut remind him which car his GF would rather get in!

Listen to this guy! I know Cody. His car is a different animal after the dyno tune. Pulls like a beast now. Op, get some bolt ons and re run your friend.

I just met him that night. Don't know him. Look back through the thread, there is a guy that posted that knows him pretty well.

When the SS first came out, fully loaded ones were going for $50k+. I got mine for MSRP from GM, delivered to me.

I was at 4,000rpm. It was my mistake of typing that. Thing surprised me. And he was really cool about it, not a douche at all and I only got respect for him. He knows his ****.

Yup!

OP, for future races use "D" or "S"...pulls harder. Let the computer do the job when it comes to racing. I only use the paddle shifters when I'm goofing off around town (makes the deceleration sound baller) but as far as using them to race, like I said before, don't. They are trash to race with.

I know. I have 100+ passes on the track and noticed that paddle shifters gave me about .3-.4 slower times than S. I just like the sound of being high rpm in gear haha.

I was hoping to see those videos thanks chavez for letting me know. Well details about my car are all over the place. It is a 1991 Civic Sedan with a american h22a4 with 150k+ miles on it. It is adapted to the stock transmission through a company called Bisimoto Engineering which saves a good 30 lbs and around maybe 10% drivetrain loss. The car is running a stock basemap that made to the ground 192hp and 153tq. The engine stock was rated at 195hp at the fly. I have nothing crazy done to it but a 2.5 exhaust and a make shift header and a ebay short ram. Some 10.2mm wires and balance shafts removed so I can fit the motor in the car without cutting the frame. On Nitrous I made 251hp and 222tq on 950 psi using 34 and 19 jets. The car with driver weighed 2350lbs. The crazy thing of all is I use 185/60/14 tires. Well now some of you have the answers you seek and to the guy that wants to race me come on out saturday night I will be around.

Op, Dont feel bad. i got owned by a sprayed H22 a few weeks ago on a 40 Roll. In 1st gear i was at 5k rpms at 40 mph. My Camaro is an auto and my auto with 3.23 gearing sucks *** at 40 mph. If im in D and i punch it from 40 i start off in 2nd gear at about 2k rpms. next time race him from a 20 or 30, I raced this one from a dig and i had him almost to the 1/4 and he caught up to me and we were dead even if i was ahead it was by like less than half a car. Those things built right can sure run good. the one o raced was from atlanta and hes doing 253HP on a 65 shot i believe.

hmm interesting i destroyed a civic hatch with a k20z1 swap with all the lil goodies. The good intake, header, and all that other stuff. I think it weighs in around 2300 lbs and made around 240 fwhp and like 140 rwtq. I just yank on him so hard. Im going to race his fully gutted bolton h22 with a 75 shot crx. weighs 1900 lbs with him in it.

I got beat by an FD rx7 with 13-14lbs of boost on 7 cyls by a car a couple weeks ago.

If I race with the spark plug wires on, and not off as my cheap *** headers like to fight me on, I would have walked him on the freeway. No get a dig race, a REAL race, then **** it he would have lost horribly even with 7 cylinders.

let an H22 honda on a 50 shot race me now too, they will loose, I don't roll race unless it is a friend, if not, then they are fair game, and they better hope their Honda brought their launching tires lol.

Nice swap theh22civic - my buddy swapped a H22 into his Del Sol, hes boosting it with forged pistons and rods, bearings, etc. (stock semi closed deck sleeves) Should be over 400whp

Any future plans for ur car?
