Excatly! I know about stangs but I don't say anything, just in case they try to fool me. Lol.
At the end of it all we are all arguing about something that has been beating like a dead horse for a long time. LS1 is superior then LT1 but LT1 with mods will beat or be equal with LS1. Why is it that they don't make an LT engine anymore? Hmmm. Wonder why!! I've beaten cammed LT's and got beaten by them too. Just matters how well your engine is done and how much money is in it.

The LT1 hate on here cracks me up. They are more difficult to work on because of the space but like any other engine they can make great power, if you take the time and spend the coin.

Good death OP.I'm guessing that's a carbon fiber hood you got tricking(jk) everyone into thinking your car is a 2004 ls1 model!A lot lighter than stock I imagine.It's funny how many people act like a lt1 is so powerless on the streets,people are forgetting the fact it is a v8,an older version but built right they can haul *** just like anything else.I guess we should be able to beat all the built up old school v8's too every time we race....not too likely!I love lsx engines too but let's be realistic.

MPH wise, it'd be a GREAT race! I'd give you the edge MPH wise. Drag radials at the track and the cammed LT1 would definitely win ET wise; general guys with well setup cam-only LT1's run low-mid 12's, some even high 11's

My trap is good enough for a VERY low 12, but I could never get that out of this car. I might be able to get a 12.3 out of it if I had 10+ passes on DRs, but I like to run the car the way I drive it every day. That means no weight loss and 245 street tires. I am pretty sure I can get a good amount of cam only LT1s from a roll, not all though, but track I would get owneddd. That means that a close to stock LS1 f-bod trapping ~106 wouldn't really have a chance anywhere, unless the driver blows it.

Agreed on all accounts. Don't ever think I am an LT1 nut swinger - I just correct ignorance when necessary.

Not sure what the specs were. I got called out by it saying they wanted to run for money *giving me the smile*... I said what's done. He said cam only, I said I would but I didn't have any cash on me at the time. We ended up running for fun. It was an A4, cammed. Two runs, one dig, one roll. He got me by about half car (I wouldn't hook for ****) then the roll I beat em about 1 car and we took off pretty even since he shifted manually

The thing is when the LT1 came out they were the hot thing, until the LS1 came out. Then it was the short lived LS2 and now its the LS3 and LS7. Its just better technology and easier to make power with them. Equally modded LS7 > LS3 > LS2 > LS1 > LT1, just the way it is.
