nsx vs sleeper
It all started two weeks ago...I was invited to a car meet..With little hesitation I pursued. The air had a hint of cold and moisture. Yet dry enough for perhaps a good event.
As my snake is currently hibernateing while excepting a camshaft. I opted to bring out my 270 rwhp 2900 pound NSX. Upon my aproach a red S2000 that looked quite plain rolled up from behind me with a non threatening presence and stockish exhaust note. The driver appeared to wish to communicate and with a sideways hat and double gripped steering wheel he lunged back and fourth. As I have little time for stockish S2000's in performance or collectability I decided not to establish communications and instead return only a non competitive gaze. In retrospect a very snoobish gesture but none the less the easiest way to let someone know your not interested in their combative skills. Shortly after a menacing beaste approached from my rear. Seemingly in hunt of the non threatening s2000. I pondered why an 800 pound white Gorilla WS6 would pursue such weak game. Surely peeling a banana would pose more of a challange. As the WS6 passed me he beat his chest and let out a sound that will hunt my dreams for quite some time. What ever steroids this Gorilla was on it wasnt from GNC. The rumble was unlike any LS1 I had ever heard.
While I had snubbed off the s2000 as not an worthy opponent. I in turn felt unworthy of this Fbody. Makeing sure he didnt see my gaze. I kept my posture upright and head forward. But in truth my peripheal vision was at full force as I wondered just how much power this car had.
The car meet was insight and I finished the last round of GreenDay blasting my speakers and parked in a Dim light. Despite the inadequate lighting more than a few people noticed the 20 year old Honda and the usual questions insued. I then walked around absorbing the automotive oasis before me. To my surprise the light weight fighter and 800 pound Gorilla were both in attendance. I apologized to the S2000 owner for my snubbery. But he needed no apologies. The next words out of his mouth were that his car was Turboed at 500 rwhp. Sheepishly I back peddled as my kindergarden teachers words echoed through my mind about judging a book by its cover.
I then turned my attention to the Gorilla. His master eagerly gave me the run down. As in Jurassic Park no expense was spared. 540 rwhp through a 408 with stage 3 heads and custom camshaft. As well as numerous component to ensure the drive train would last. I had already dropped to my right knee knee when the masters next words complexed me. "The s2000 beats me every time"...
I quickly shifted my weight before my left knee could touch the ground and demonstrate the bowing motion. As I refused to bow down to an Domstic Gorilla that openly admitted defeat by an lowly Honda. Respect however was still rendered.
Conversations grew sparse and the tension between many reached boiling points as 20 cars hit the freeway in pursuit of gaining or keeping reputations.
After a generous display of races the sleeper s2000 again aproached me from the rear and wished to communicate. Eagerly I excepted his threat display of blow off valves and revs. I down shifted to second gear at 50 mph with the nsx's revs at a generous 6000 rpm. laughingly I thought of how the vtec would actually help me off the initial hit.
I signaled off the start and to my surprise vtec was alive and well. Despite us haveing an even start I instantly jumped out two cars. Now at 90 mph I see the s2000 makeing its way back up to me but not nearly as fast as I expected. At 100 mph the race ended with my nsx somehow someway ahead of the mighty turboed s2000 by 1/2 a car length...Was it traction...Boost leak....bad shifting.....I dont know and Im sure 99 out of 100 times the s2000 would have easily beaten me. But a W is quite simply a W and I take them anyway they come.
Untill we meet again brother and you have now earned the right to combat the Viper. But be warned. your A game will be needed. 500 rwhp and 530 rwt coupled with 3300 pounds will be a challange. Even for such a stout S2000 such as yours. Much respect and cant wait. Sorry it took me two weeks to post this up. Im very busy

I wrote it...Thought it was worth a lil effort.
My money would be on the 91 nsx...Sure on paper its just a 13.8 at 103 mph car. But the lower rpm's are EXTREMELY weak...It takes a while for the car to build revs..
On a roll race they are actually much faster than that 13.8 at 103 represents..
RSKY raced my stock 99 viper (3390 pounds and 410 rwhp....11.8 at 121 mph capability) in his stock 2005 nsx (3100 pounds and 270 rwhp....12.9 at 110 mph capability)
To our surprise from a 50 mph roll the viper was only 3 cars ahead by 120 mph...Same nsx raced my 380 rwhp auto c5 covette and we were tied from 50-120 mph..
They are actually pretty fast from a roll. Rsky also raced an auto Fbody with exhasut in his 2005 nsx and beat it buy 2-3 cars every time from 50-130 mph...
Defiently nothing special but i really think a stock 91 nsx would walk away from a cobalt fairly easily...1/4 mile would be very close though....Id race one in a second if I knew any
Heres what RSKY's stock nsx did to a fbody with exhaust and carpet removal weight reduction over and over again

i can relate.
people go by timeslips and i dnt blame them.
however, i still think it be a good run between us. remember my vids killmall.
pulled a fender on tuned/intake 335i (he trapped 108) i pulled 3-4 cars on a G8 GT (he should trap 104+)
so yes, people underestimate both cars from a roll.
it would not be a no contest......id be at yur door wavinvg hi and blowin kisses like the blondes u always seem to run into

Good kill, though I don't think it should have happened if he was be truthful about his #. Anything can happen on the street though.
Umm, no. That was painful to read for 1 kill. I guess the "big" words and uhh, "imagery" impressed you guys, but it was loaded with grammatical errors and issues.
Before you ask: Yes, I am the grammar police.
That, or he lied about the hp number.
