Sounds like the GTO driver needs to learn how to operate his vehicle correctly.

Ju1ce may the exception.
Actually you can buy a set of drag bags for $100 that pretty much cures that issue.

Yep, a 100.00 dollar set of dragbags cured my wheel hop 100%. Im on 100% stock irs suspension and drivetrain except clutch and the dragbags and I pulled a 1.62 and a 1.66 60ft. last time at the track, I have over 50 track passes with 4,000+ rpm clutch drops. And I have over 120,000mi. on the car. The irs is still holding up. And I agree, that goat sucked *****.

All I know is that the 2 GTOs I've driven (1 LS1, 1 LS2), they were hopin' like a SOB into 3rd gear. Good info to know, considering the gf is looking for one.

Wen I first got mine and went to the track both wheels were jumping up and down so bad I thought they were going to come off.

Glad these guys jumped in. I was surprised to feel the difference from a stock IRS car to a stock IRS car with $100 drag bags. Was a night and day difference.

GTO still needs driver mod lol

Well I decided to sign up and clear this up. GTO driver drove the car just fine. He spun the first run and was a little late on the hit so I got out and stayed out. The 2nd run was also from a dig he launched good with a even hit and it was basically a dead even race to 120.. Last run was a roll 45-125 and i edged him out by half a car. The GTO made 430/390 and has drag bags. I am not going to bench race but my car has already traped 112 2nd pass in the car and i am confident as it sits it has 113 in it so take that in account to the 160lb gto passanger and theres your race

GTO should be a bit higher then 113 with 430.

Not really 06blackgto is a prime example similar power 114 trap... but it depends like I said no need to bench race it is what it is.

I guess. I've seen strong running stock GTO's trap around 110 though.

Yeah 113 mph is way low for a 430 rwhp GTO , bolt on GTOs have trapped that, but at the same time these races were from a dig so trap isnt as important. Race should have been reversed but GK non the less.

I was there, The GTO was armed with a wet shot plate. The Nitrous was not working and only fuel worked. Which means it made less than 430rwhp that night. Later that night we found that the Nitrous solenoid wire was not connected. The GTO fix the spray and raced the GT with termi engine. GTO with 3 people in car plus spray VS Termi GT, the GTO won by 2 1/2. Later that night the mach1 with 298rwhp had trans problems and had to be towed
