2-Steps are really nice when you are trying to stage. Instead of trying to feather the throttle to find you perfect launch rpm, you just push in the clutch and "slowly" mash the gas. Holds the RPMs just where you have it set. My 2-Step is through my SCT tune and it is set at 3500rpm. I notice though that you have to slowly increase the rpm. Then once it begins to step, then you can mash the gas.
2-Steps are good for a prepped track though. If you have it set to high and try this on the street, you will just sit and spin. I had my tuner play with the rpm and I think 3500 rpms works great for both street and strip.
