It's an aquired sound just like beer is an aquired taste. Believe me I've heard plenty of camaros and mustangs that have sounded like pure ******* too. Takes the right set up but I do like the sound of a high spinning 4 banger. Evo's are one of my favorite sounding 4 cylinder of all time.
My favorite I4 note would probably be the BMW S14.

My fuckng integra sounds WTFAMAZING son. Boutt the ti I hit 4,000rpsm it goes BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM. And thats straight from the MOTOR NOT EXCHAUST! Show me a V8 that can do that, dont try ycause you cant. Dune!

Me and my best friend got bored once when I was in high school, and we took the hood off my Integra, undid the intake arm from the airbox, took the filter off, put a stocking over it, and zip-tied it to the strut-tower bar. When it hit 5,800rpm (intake butterflies open), it was LOUD. I even tried that at the track once... did absolutely nothing
