Default 02 camaro ss vs 2010 camaro ss

I was driving home from a buds house and saw a new black 2010 ss ...we had a lil room to get a little bit of a run from a 50+ roll ...i let him get the hit (like always) and I punched it and he pulled a 1/2 car ahead.. And then he pulled a little more I lost by a car..but we only went from 50 to maybe 75 ..it was a tiny run...so should I consider this a lost (( .... Any one with a 2010 ss that lives in ca I will be going to irwindale to do the 8th so anyone down? Auto or stick..tommorrow at 5 or 6..i want to run a minor bolt on or stock 2010 ss ...cmon any one,i want a clean run ..

You fail at sarcasm detection. If you want to survive in SR&K, you'll need to hone that skill.

Mods to your car? If you are stock, you will get walked by a M6 new SS from a roll if the new SS has driver mod installed.

My mods are 3:73 gears, lts, ory, gmmg exhaust, tuned, lid.. And yeah I did take it a little serious..but I am sorry for that..my bad..just pissed thats the second time I lost to a 2010 ss. The first time I lost my rear bearing where bad, I was long over due for an oil change and I spun my *** off..and only lost by a fender...that race was from a red light..this was from a roll..maybe the ss I raced was a m6? He had to be... damn I want revenge...oh ya I am a A4..

With your mods you "should" be walking ANY stock 2010 SS. Might want to due a tune up and toss those POS msd wires in the garbage where they belong. Lots of guys have had issues with msd wires on LSx cars FYI.

Maybe do a compression check? Whats your oil pressure at? If I was you I would get my car to a dyno (RWHP doesnt lie) or tuner to find out what is going on, because it seems like you are down some horsepower from where you should be at.

Well I I have not messed with the plug wires yet...my car has 35k miles so its still fresh..and idk what that ss had done to it if anything at all...i did not have time to ask him he turned b4 I could tell him anything..but I am going to the track tommorrow so depending on what I run, then maybe will we find anything out? I mean the runs perfect..my oil pressure is at 40/45 at idle when I am driving normal its about 60..last time I went to the track it ran a 8.3 in the 8th. That was before my lts, ory, gears, tune. So will see tommorrow. But whats your thoughts..

whats the typical trap speed for a typical bolt on auto LS1? The stock LS3 2010 Camaro is typically in the 108-110mph range. Seems to me an A4 with bolton car should be close to that, but ive seen a lot of them in the 107mph area so it isnt a 100% given or as easy as you say.

All depends on the track being run at: tracks up in Washington State (Pacific/Bremerton) has cars running a fair amount slower than most other tracks (especially the notorious East Coast tracks). I've seen a couple new SS's run 13.6-13.8 at 106-108mph. Full bolton LS1 cars run 12.8-13.2 @ 108-112mph. OP's car should be at 110+mph with those gears if he has a good ecu tune.

More importantly, I've got 5 friends with full bolton LS1 Fbodies that I've raced numerous times when I was also full bolton only: average roll race (50ish to 110ish) I ranged in the middle with 1 car faster than me (1 car length), 1 tied, and 2 slower (1-2 cars behind). I raced 3 or 4 different 2010 SS's and walked all of them by 3-4 cars in similiar roll on races.

Also walked a few SRT8's similiarly- though the SRT8's seem to have a bit better topend. And I've seen ALOT of SRT8's at the track, and the stock or near stock ones all ran 13.6-14.2 with 2.0 or worse 60' times. (13.6 was a tune/CAI/Y pipe+catback/3.90 geared car trapping 114mph where I ran 12.9-13.0 @ 107-108mph when still full bolton only).
