This is why I don't get into all these threads anymore, they don't make much sense at times.

The GTR in this vid (tune/downpipe/ypipe) beats the ISF by a fender. The ISF beat the Ported 03 Cobra by 1.5-2 cars and none of them will trap anywhere near 135mph-

BUT

The GTR in the other thread (tune/downpipe/ypipe) beats a cam'd C6Z by a few cars..

So a ported eaton vert Cobra is as quick as a cam'd C6Z


Anyway, street racing is always fun to disect, even when it makes no sense at all-

Yea the GTR in this one actually performed the way I figure they should..weighed about the same as the ISF with similar HP..

was the red z06 spraying the 175 shot in your runs?????? stock z06 plus bolt ons should be close to 400 rwhp..Then add a 175 shot and around 550 rwhp at under 3200 pounds..

that zo6 does not have spray.... the red cobra had the 175 shot.

They type of canned tune can make a BIG difference in the performance of a GT-R.

fully forged bottom end. And apparently theyve hit 12.4s@114mph stock so theyre pretty fast with the right driver

 

I doubt it has forged pistons. OEMs almost never use forged pistons because they don't last like a cast piston.

I did a little research and it has forged rods and crank, but i couldn't find anything saying the pistons were forged.

I'm sure it's more conditions than driver also. It's an auto with lots of electronics, probably doesn't take much skill to drive it.
