Isn't there a couple of 2011 5.0's in the 9's? How about the camaro? Any car can be fast with enough money thrown at it so if you don't like the competition then ante up. There is a lot of sand in some cooches in this thread.

Really? Are those aggressive cams? Mach Boy has a cammed Mach (4v) and he only put down 36x UNCORRECTED, they might be mild cams but that seems pretty damn high for a 3v (not that I have a ton of experience with them).
Funny you say that, because people don't like that this 3v has cams to beat a bolt-on LS1, but when an LS1 needs a cam to beat a bolt-on 5.0, no one cares.

Agreed, but the gap isn't as large as say, the gap between the Camaro and GT in 2002.....it's more like the Mach1 vs LS1, only reversed these days, stock for stock. We'll have to wait and see what happens when cams become common among 5oh's to judge that.
