Finally got to race a C5
Today at lunch I was going to the bank. I drive through an intersection and see a nice looking C5 convertable(very clean and crome 5 spokes). I have seen this car around a few times. The guy is kind of cocky. Well, I rev at him when I go through the intersection and he pulls out behind me. I can't do anything yet because there is a car in front of me. I turn at the next street and he follows. I pull out slow to see if he will bite. We he pulls out I see him get on it and he starts gaining on me. I floor it and spin just a little and freeze him. It is pretty damn close for a few seconds and then I start pulling on him. I guess he didn't like the thought of me pulling on him so he lets off. When we pull up to the next light I stop and wait for him to pull up and he wouldn't pull beside me. I guess it hurt his feelings to be beat by a car that cost half as much as his. Oh, by the way I am not sure if he is modded or not but I know he has an exhaust. Judging by how close it was I would say he is slightly modded or my car is slower than I think. (probably the latter) Anyway sorry so long. This is my first respectable kill. whoo hooo!

I have a 99 Camaro SS #1880 Hard top A4 with a Yank 2800, Slp Lid, GMS MAF, free mods, TSP 224R cam, Pacesetter LT's and ORY, Borla cat-back and a crappy HPP3. I hope that helps.
Before the LT's and the cam I ran a 12.574 @108.34 on stock F-1's.

Yea good KILL, I like givin some of those Cocky Vette owners a reality check, I love Vettes, I just hate SOME of the owners who think cause they spent near $50k for a car, that they have the fastest thing on the road.

Donkey punched... Reminds me of old school tit bar.
As far as we are talking bang for your buck. I say buy a 98 ls1 for 10k (or less) then super/turbo charge the thing and show that c5 whats up
Might save a couple bucks too.

If you really wanna pound C5 ***, do a hot cam and some ported heads with a 150 shot, and hope that the C5 has a stock valvetrain/cylinder heads.

the only c5 kill i have was actualy at a track, he couldnt break out of the 9's (1/8th mile) He was a convertable, but i think, that it should have been in the 8.7 range bone stock. But even if it was i still would have got him. But he was cool about it. He was good to have a slower but way fancier car than i had. GOOD KILL man. I have always found it hard to get a vette owner to run on the street, because all of them here are owned by rich old guys afraid to run them.
