c6 vs Lexus ISF
Saw a nice clean charcoal grey lowered ISF on the access rd while traveling on the freeway ( in mexico of course? ) so I'am thinking that would be fun".....low an behold he's thinking the same way? An judging from the way he came after me" he had run a c6 or 2 before....i hit it to match his pace an opened up a car or 2...traffic was heavy . He was cool, so we both slowed down in third at about 60...no taffic , we hit it and I gain a car length by the end of 3rd....4th 2 1/2 cars then we hit traffic....i was surpised that he stayed that close...he did as well as a mustang gt 500 I ran...it was stock 550hp. My vette makes 491rwhp....car was quick for a bolt on lexus???

Good kill, I doubt he was at 550hp, but the car is pretty damn slick with the 8speed auto. Lightning quick shifts and keeping the car at high rpm makes them pretty damn fast for a sedan.

ya ur right^, I think the only mods out for them are Headers, cat-back, and intake. No tunes so most seem to spray if they want to make it faster. very limited in options

Good kill! I love the way those ISF's look and they are strong runners. One of my goals with the G8 is to be able to out run one someday.
I was going to ask if there are many mods out for the ISF's, but I see that's been answered. It always sucks when there's a cool car out and little to no aftermarket support for it.
I think he was referring to the GT500 when he said 550 hp. I believe the 2011 GT500's are rated 550.

They have both direct and conventional injection so the ECU is VERY complicated. Several companies have tried to work with it including Hennessey and all have given up.

They use both to eliminate the carbon buildup that plagues DI engines. It's actually a brilliant design, but it's so complicated no one can successfully modify/tune it. Of course this doesn't matter to Lexus because their primary target market won't mod them.
From what i've read, Hennessey was trying to do forced induction, but couldn't even begin to fuel it on the stock ECU.

Good kill. I really hope he was spraying though, because 491rwhp and only 2 1/2 cars? I think everyone else is right and the lighting quick shifts came into play. And like you said top end would have been a different race. But still pretty impressive for one of those cars! I love the way they look, if I ever see one i'll try and get a few runs in.
