I remember putting a hurting on a stock one back when I was exhaust/tune. But like all turbo cars they wake the hell up with a tune. I was thinking the other day i'd probably trade my car for a TC Cobalt if afforded the opportunity. Paying 3.55+/gal is killing me with this kind of gas mileage.

Luckily, I've started a new project that is going to get even worse mileage...even before the motor swap...wut?

I thought about buying one but after riding in my buddy's cobalt...I can't get passed the really cheap feel of the car. Still neat that they can be quick tho I guess.

32 dollars to fill it up at 3.49 a gallon one of the main selling points was the mpg with fuel projected to go to 4.50 a gallon

Damn there's a lot of LS4 kills coming in here lately. Are they getting moved out of your guys' hole into here? I don't remember seeing all these pop up new.

The Ellen Eff's are pretty strong, I'd love to rock one for a DD.

Would they really be putting down that much tq or did you mean 304?

My buddy I work with put down 300 tq to the wheels on a mustang dyno w gm stage 1 and eBay downpipe only. Switch it up to a dynojet and go trifecta and 404 doesn't sound too far off. LNF ecotec motors are very efficient. Think of the effort put into lsx motors in a funsize package.

Im getting 29.7 MPG on my DD. It's not a Balt but it's tuned and has the same engine. The only issue is that you have to run 91-93 oct when tuned.

12 second car, averages 30mpg... I should ask my friend whats up with his. He averages about 20mpg and couldn't run a 12 second anything.

For every modded turbo Cobalt in the 12's there's about 6,358 of them that couldn't run 12's.

makes ya feel any better, I warmed up with a newer stang on the way to work this morning. I don't think it was a 5.0 (not sure I know the difference), but he nailed it twice from around 70-75mph and by somewhere around 105mph I had him reeled in ( he started ahead of me in the same lane and got the jump each time)

Always fun racing your cars against each other!

How did you like the Monte Carlo? I always liked the LS4 cars, even though they get a bad rap.
