IDk if I was driving a viper I would have killed the ss for fun too...atleast he didnt go after a honda or something..i mean some times when u want a race , ur not gonna find a vette, or high end supra, or h/c ls1 I mean sometimes you would take what ever you can find...good kill op
In all fairness its a 426 HP car vs a 505 HP car stock for stock. Ive got mods and asume he was stock. But in the Big picture its not a 600HP car against a 300 HP car or anything like that.
Some one explain the L99 and all to me. I thought the SS camaro had the LS3 but was slightly under rated at 426 HP instead of the vettes 436 HP
YA most of the time I never find that many good races in my bolt on ls1 
.. But not sure on the new ss I think if its manual it has 426 to the crank, and auto has 400 to the crank...but there very heavy...so idk...if I saw you on the street I would run u...even though I know I would lose.

So was in my modded Ls1 and what did I happen to roll up on? A brand new honda fit! I heard these guys have huge ***** like only the fabled viper owner has so I had to race him. I gotta admit that for a fairly inexpensive ride, the Fit has no sex appeal or style at all.
I followed him around for several miles and gave him revs ect. Two guys in the car and I could see the passenger egging on the driver like an EA anoucment to get into the game.
Finally after lots of revs and egging on while I was 2 cars behind the Fit in the center lane with him in the right lane he hit it!
I heard his car rev high, but didnt really go anywhere. He was about 3 carlengths ahead when my stopwatch hit 2 min from when he hit it. I imediately stopped his pull, rubbed myself, and moaned as I blew his doors off. He had no chance against my awesomeness!
For a car that not even in the same class as mine and had no chance in hell against me, I was a bit underimpressed.

Are you serious? Every time he posts, he carries his "Holier than thou" attitude with him. Like the "relatively inexpensive" comment...completely unnecessary, if he wanted to race the car, who gives a **** what the retail of the car is compared to his "exotic". He was quoted in another thread basically saying he sold his vette and bought an NSX for no other reason than the fact that more people noticed the NSX. I know he catches a lot of flack around here but he walks into the **** himself.
I've been on this site for a bit and I've read most of his threads. In this thread though, he wasn't doing the whole "Eat my ****, you're inferior to me" thing.
As far as the "relatively inexpensive car" comment, well, go back & take a look at what he said. The reality is that the Camaro really isn't an expensive car. It's not Kia-cheap, nor is it 7-Series-Expensive. I mean, the dude actually complimented GM & the Camaro, saying how great the car looked, comparing it to a Lamborghini--which, is an expensive car.
He didn't flip the Camaro the bird afterward
They both exchanged thumbs-ups. And the last thing about the trading the 'Vette for a NSX... I don't know. I personally wouldn't do that because I love C5s/C6s as a total package, but I've only seen 2 NSXs in person, and I can't tell you how many C5s. If he wants to be different, hey I'm not gonna shoot the guy.

Good run,my area sucks when it comes time to go out and play,weeks will go by with nothing,it was a good run,yeah the camaro was a lil bit of a underdog but who knows maybe that gave him the spark to start doing mods to his car,I wonder how much would change in this thread if ya ran a NEW 5.0 lol,and not a ss,

Wow...Im going hunting again in a few days. Hopefully I can run another SS. Thats the thing I love about fbodies. You just dont know what your up against till its said and done. That GTO that revved on me. despite the hideous Captain Kangeroo exterior. Sounded much more monsterous than any car I had heard in quite a while. Wondering if perhaps head and cam or larger CI?

The 370Z on the other hand I fing Beautiful and thats the exterior that should have the GTR awd and engine. They'd still be selling well if that were the case. Instead you get a chainsaw mascacered Evo that gained 600 pounds of ugly

Oh and Vipers have Huge Sobrarro (I'll guess you were looking for sombrero?) style top with a HUGE *** UGLY rear. The design from the front is its saving grace but overall pretty FN AWFUL LOOKING.
