I get that all the time, but typically from females. I'll take it as a compliment HioSSilver, but not my gig.

My family had an iron duke celebrity that lasted over 250k miles with virtually nothing needed, until my brother t-boned someone in it.

We also had a Ford Escort that lasted over 200k miles before my sister hit a guard rail during a snow storm.

Maybe we were just lucky.

BTW, I don't let my siblings near any of my cars...

My X had a 95 Integra GSR-what a fun car! Low 15s were easy with it. I was shocked how much it would have cost to get it in the 13s on motor though. Thought they were cheap to mod like Mustangs....

I loved mine, and might get another in the future. Couple bolt-ons and some coilovers, and I'd be cool.

I remember making an excel spreadsheet for mods for a GSR. I had almost $3K in parts, all "go-fast" parts, but didn't see much to speed things up. Fuel rail, header, exhaust, intake, intake manifold, etc. Did the same with a DSM, and saw 13's.

Fuel rail was pointless, and normal bolt ons dont really do much. You basically have to go FI and then the amazing honda heads shine.

To try to get this back towards topic. OP, what aside from engine stuff have you done? Tranny axle, front end, fuel pump, etc. What are your next mods, or are you done? Any thoughts of water injection or nitrous?

Tranny is stock with an LSD, stock axles, walbro 255 in tank.

If I stay in Indiana for work I'll probably go E85 which means bigger injectors and fuel pump. I want to get a better flowing exhaust manifold and a different head. Should pick up alot of power just from that. If I can make over 400whp on 15psi I'll be very happy.

I may throw some NOS into the equation at some point for those really fast cars (aka another honda I wont name lol).

When do tranny and axle problems occur, or do you not ever get enough torque to have that issue?

At not much more than stock power. Honda's/front drive **** is why my local track stopped doing prep. They got tired of "cleaning up after the Honda's". That is a direct quote.

Hey HioSSilver, how do you like the faceplated t56? Would you have considered a TR6060 swap instead or do they only swap those in c5's and not fbodies?

Lightning, i read about your knock issues on 30psi awhile back. I ended up having a similar problem when running 30psi on pump gas, but my detonation was much less severe. I've come to the conclusion that above 25-27psi on pump and you really start to discover the instability in garbage 93 octane, and have to increase the margin of safety in the tune by about 2* of timing retard.

At 25psi i can tune the car to flirt with the knock threshold and have no problems. At 30psi i stretched the ARP head studs with the same type of tune. I'm currently running 27psi with 2* less than i was running at 30psi, and the motor is completely reliable, but it's just not making the power i want. I'm probably around 410awhp on pump gas. I'm going to add meth to the mix and retune around 32psi and see how the car runs. If it can't trap 130+ on 93/meth in the spring this turbo is for sale and i'll go considerably larger.

Unfortunately a lot of them do break when ghetto built cars that make some power run slicks and drop the clutch at 6k on stock components, but the same goes for any car. A 10-bolt isn't going to survive that crap either.

Stock B series tranny's will hold 600whp all day if you keep it easy on the street and preload right at the track. Stock axles are iffy if you dont know how to launch right. Alot of people rock them all day with no issues, others break em every other time. The K series trannys are like glass though. My buddy gabe with the 630whp civic was fine until he got some good tires for the street. Now that he hooks up he upped to boost in higher gears and keeps blowing 4th gear out.

If the transmission does go you can find them for 200-300 a piece used. Theres no justification to upgrading gears and stuff when that will just move the force to the case which will crack and **** up the nice gears you just bought.

You have to understand going much more then 600whp is just getting unusable on the street. That amount of power in a light *** car will handle pretty much everything to modded hyabusas, and gabes car is a perfect example.

Yeah I think I noticed the same thing. I shouldnt have kept running it but lesson learned.

If you do go bigger let me know and I can give you the contact info for the guys that built my turbo. Its very responsive for a 64 lb/min unit

I love it! If you actually know how to drive a stick it's awesome. I use the clutch under normal driving, at wot I just breathe the throttle and pull the gear. My ingnition cut/load cell shifter should be here tomorrow, then I won't even have to lift to unload the gearbox...the shift should be done in milliseconds.

I have'nt had a need for a tr6060..I don't have enough power as the engine is a stock ls6 to worry about upgrading it. I have a stock ls7 ready to go in so I called liberty and they said even that is fine for a t56.
