Yep nittos, and them go hand him his *** for sure. I had the same sort of deal about a year ago with a wanna be badass ricer. But he was built bottom end, turboed, front mount, N20 75 shot, and still 5 cars back to 75. Go do dome raping, i too had the fastest car at my HS. ENJOY! He while your at it put like 20 bucks down just for fun and some fuel in the old tank!

The TT 3000GT is faster 0-60 but slower in the 1/4 by a fraction.
This is both do to the rev of the V6 and the all wheel drive traction
advantage.
For a 1999 3000GT VR4
Acceleration: 0-30 mph: 1.70 sec. 0-60 mph: 5.00 sec.
1/4 mile: 13.44 sec. @ 101.79 mph.
For a 1999 Camaro SS
Acceleration: 0-30 mph: 2.27 sec. 0-60 mph: 5.27 sec.
1/4 mile: 13.42 sec. @ 106.15 mph.
You should however smoke any factory Acura by around a second
going from 0-60. The Type-R and RSX at 195HP and 200HP respectively only
make 140 in torque and run a 6.2 0-60 on a good day.

Welcome OMG dont go F&F on me gray... i shall question your authority Oh and welcome to the board 4th gen ss. There is a guy up here with a VR4 TT 3000 GT. It's a nice little car i have to say... it's not really riced out. I think it sounds pretty good considering. After I toss on my heads and cam i dont think it should be to much of a problem

Heres whats up those cars are absolute junk no matter what you do to them they cant get out of the 13's my buddy had one with a turbo and nitrouse i dunno the details but i know he dont **** around when it comes to cars, although an integra is ****** around. but unless you hear the guy roll up and it sounds like hes got a ls1 swap with the sweet sound of all our exhauts, then you got nuthin to worry about. **** ill put in ricer terms "ten large" on you and split the winnings.

If you can take Darin's VR-4 I'd be pretty amazed...hes done a lot more work than you have...I don't think you'd have much of a chance especially to 60 like these guys have pointed out...And you should be glad that Tylers MR2 Turbo isn't around anymore because he could probably hand your *** to you...

So you don't know whether or not to be worried (meaning you're unsure of his mods). Here are three ways to find out the answer to your question:
1) Arrange to go for a ride w/ a friend who likes to race. Then get your friend to challenge this person in the Acura while you lay low in the passenger seat.... see how he fares and make your judgment from that.
2) Or, if he does the weekend dragstrip scene, just observe him at the 1/4 mile track (the legal way) and see what his Acura does.
3) Honestly, though, after a little 1-on-1 discussion w/ this Acura guy, you should be able to tell what he's got (and if he's BS'ing about his mods.) And who knows.... you might even get the opportunity to look under his hood!
