Just to show you there is always someone out there that is faster. I choose not to push my car over 700 because it is a better street machine that way. I don't get to a drag strip very often and the last time I went I got thrown off after one run for no cage. Oh well not my thing any more really. I have owned faster cars but they were not DD cars.

I dont go to the 1/4 mile because the drive kind of sucks to get thrown off, but you needed a cage? You went 9 seconds? God damn.

Probably not 9's. Maybe mid to high 10's.

I'm sure by "cage" he meant "rollbar."

Very low 10's but a friend with the same setup went 9's. Yes I'm aware that Demon has run faster. As I said there is always some one faster. But my trap requires a cage and I don't really care enough to do that to the car. BTW I was running a NANO shot also.

I never knew they go by MPH except a chute at 150 MPH+. i know 9.999 need a cage and 11.49 needs a 5 point roll bar, still cookin either way im sure, i am not going to put a roll bar in my car if i can help it.

Yeah you need a cage for 135 or greater or 9.99.

OP-

Some of the fastest cars I have ever raced, are ford powered. I'd say they're good competition. The video is clearly a stock GT vs a modded camaro. Badass jb by the camaro,..no doubt,..but..i'd still take that ford over that camaro,..and i'd easily make it faster.

Everything can be fast- especially the 1 mile record holding ford gt's. Be glad it's American.

I really think dragstrips need to make accommodations for newer cars. I mean ****, something like the ZR1 can go 9 pretty easy, but it can sure as **** stop 1,000x better than some old school 9 second car with tiny drag brakes, not too mention how much safer they are. Rules should be changed for newer cars to make the cage/chute ET/MPH faster.

How convenient to throw this in here... totally plausible that someone who lists every nut and bolt (including their brand names) mod on the car just forgets to list nitrous.

They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time, LSx powered cars win everytime.

Yeah like forgetting to list a smaller pulley or higher ratio rockers on a "stock" car Pot meet kettle.

See, shows how much i was paying attention to ALL the details, LOL.

I was thinking of going to the 1/4 mile Friday, but the way gas prices are, man, the fuel to get there plus entry and tech card, plus the wifes entry, that would be 50$ one way, see if i can fond some cash somewhere and i might go.

I knew there was something along the lines of him calling a car "stock" when it wasn't at all.

I didn't forget it. I took it off and installed it is on my son's car now. I didn't like the hassles of filling bottles and he uses it a lot more than I ever did. Here is the system if you are skeptical. I run the 3.25 for a 93 tune. That is a 2.875 pulley in the pic that I also run on the track on C16. The dyno below is a 3.25 pulley and no nitrous. That is how I run it on the street.
