LS1 cars around here run 8.6-9.0 depending on weather/driver.

You better run some mid 8s before you pick on the wrong one, and I wouldn't bother trying to get one on a roll. Wrong section btw.

Longtubes, cam, 1.6 rockers, ported tb, custom cold/ram air, etc.

As was mentioned, full bolt ons and 1.6 rockers should get it done. You sure did pick the perfect LS1 to race though. A stock 99 Z28 A4 with 2.73s? Wow. I wouldn't give that car much better than a 13.6-13.7 depending on its condition.

Most ls1's around here run a 8.8 9.1 in Nashville TN so are you saying I need all that?

You won't need a cam. Bolt ons and rockers should be fine. Converter too if you are an A4 obviously. The LS1 will probably be in the 285 whp range stock but with the 2.73s, that thing is a turd with all the dead spots between gears. I have driven one before with 2.73s and those gears just suck. Get out on it early so it doesn't have a chance to pull back on top (if it even can).

Between now and Tuesday doesn't give you time to do **** unless you have a place to get performance parts local.

Best bet is to find someone with some good tires you can borrow and hope he spins.

CAI (be sure to pull all that silencing crap out from underneath
1LE or high-flow elbow
160* stat
U/D pulley
Cutout
Mail-tune
Traction

* Last but not least, a healthy, strong running motor. <---this is why most LT1s are turds nowadays.

Good luck!

Kinda what I'm thinking.

Unless the longtubes are sitting in your floor and you go start putting them on right now or you plumb a 75shot you're not sitting pretty.

Of course people are looking at it. Doesn't mean it's not in the wrong section.
