my 99 Z vs Foxbody 5.0

Thunder is right. A dual cat 5 speed 305 F body(88 and up) especially a speed density one(90-92) which was rated at 225HP and could run 14s stock(most were hardtops too and in later years that was the only way you could get one. Many people over reved them at the track.

I just think it's funny people always talk like the 5.0s were street monsters stock but the TPI cars weren't competition for Mustang IIs.

Those 5.0's from '87 -'93 didnot dip in the 12's that easy. You could dip in the 13's with mods but not 12's that easy.

Will have to agree mustang guy couldn't drive...But any thing can happen on the street.

Agreed. There were quite a few guys back then running around with ported E7TE heads & intake claiming to be just 'bolt-ons'. But mustang guys have always had a different definition of what a bolt-on car is. lol

You beak the engine open you are no longer bolt ons. Swap heads/port heads no longer bolt ons.

There every where. Maybe not on that list but i have ran into them at the track or out and about. It goes all ways. Ford/GM/Imports. I know a guy that swore he was bolt ons yet he was in a turbo 07 Civic Si bought it that way. Another that had a 02 camaro with a LS7 in it. He was like ya full bolt ons. I was like so your car came with the LS7 in it? He was like ya i bought it like that. They was special edition It came with it. I just shook my head and walked away. Have ran into ford guys same kinda stuff. Mustang guy had aftermarket cams reground and swore they was factory just reground..
