My 2007 Z06 Vette makes 570 SAE rwhp, so it's no slouch but...
I was at a light next to a Repsol liveried sport bike. I had no idea what it was at the time. When the light went green we both took off soft, then nailed it from a 10 mph roll. He was maybe a little quicker when I was in first, I pulled even in second, and was slowly walking away through third and fourth. Turns out it was a CBR1000RR with K&N intake, slip on exhaust, sprocket changes, and a tune. YEE HAW

However after doing some bench racing I don't think the results are as far off as some of you do.
Consider: At our high altitude track (DA is usually in the 6,xxx to 7,500 ft range, that bike has gone 11.0 with a 250 pound rider. My Z (which is lighter than most corvettes, camaros, or mustangs) has gotten a best of 11.5 with a crap 2.0 60'. It runs the back half of the track (1/8 to 1/4 mile) like a 10.92 car, taking 3.9 sec and gaining 28 mph. My car's third and fourth gear performance matches the results of the race. Take the launch out of the equation, which we did with the 10 mph roll, and my car becomes very competitive.

First off, thanks for acknowledging a win is a win is a win.

That bike is 9s@150+ capable. Not sure what that equates to in 6000 DA but I wouldn't assume it would drop to 11s and 130s.
For a newer liter bike it usually takes around 750+rwhp to give them a run. Of course this is assuming the rider is competent.
Let's say for a second your car was fast enough to beat the bike. It would have taken you until around 130 to reel him in and pass him if you left at the same time. He only has to shift one time when he is at 100mph, that alone gives a huge advantage.
You shouldn't get absolutely embaressed, like the s10 liter bike thread, but it should have a decent advantage his way.
Got any vids of your car action? Sounds like a sweet little setup.

Here's a vid of a different cbr1000rr running at our track, an 11.03 @ 133. I think with street tires and a stock swingarm, I think that's pretty representative for our conditions.

Props to a good race and a sweet car. Not to take anything away from you, but I have walked out on cars faster than yours on my zx10 and a CBR should be in the same general ballpark as my bike. Any modern liter sportbike should be capable of 9s and traps over 140.

That may be so at sea level, but here figure that you're down on power by AT LEAST 18%, usually 20-22%, so your 171 hp bike would be only 133 hp here. The owner of the Repsol said he dyno'd at 134 rwhp here.

As we said, great kill regardless
Mind you, my (weight reduced) 560whp/595rwtq camaro z28 was even with a 600 with a slip on and power commander.

FWIW... A stock C6Z would be an extremely good run for a stock 600 with the 600 having an advantage until around 100mph. A stock liter bike can toy with a 600 (I mean start in wrong gear, give them the hit, etc) and still pass them they let off the throttle.
A liter bike would absolutely destroy (I mean embarrassing) a stock C6Z, much much worse than what you did.
Regardless... Anything can happen on the street, and you beat a guy on a liter bike! Period!!!!

It take's a really good rider to keep those bike's going forward as fast as they can without flipping over or standing up . That's why they lose to car's they should beat at the strip all the time, so i would think this outcome wouldn't be that uncommon. Nice kill

Nice kill, one of my better ones was when we were leaving an establishment here in CO and 2 guys followed us out, happened to be going the same way were were (there were 3 of us in each of our cars) they were riding our asses the entire way out of town, wanting to get around us, but too much traffic. Once the road cleared I seen them come around the other 2 cars (I was in front) I waited until the sport bike got to the second car and I dumped it down to third and nailed it.. They stopped at my bumper, hit the top of third, then went mid way into 4th and they were 10+ behind me..
We carried on our way, they just stayed back then between me and my buddies, we turned off and when they went by, one was on a 900RR Honda and the other was a HD V-rod.. They gave me a thumbs up and kept going.
This was in my 02 ZO6 making 657 RWHP.. 3rd and 4th is where these cars shine..

Absolutely not mid 9's. MAYBE, MAYBE, top 9's to mid 10's with very good air. On the other hand I don't see a stock wheelbase cbr1000 with minimal mods running that quick either. Am I wrong?
