My 01 camaro ss vs Silver srt 8
what' sup guys i have a 01 camaro ss full exaust and tuned from frost and i made 335rwhp and 345rwtq, his mods unknown, well i'm cruising on 95 coming out of delaware into maryland and, i spot him but pay him no mind. I told my girl that he might wanna play, but i ignore him and kinda give it a little gas going around another car on the highway, i guess that was his Q to challenge me. Anyway his car is loud definetly atleast exaust and more than likely headers. Anyway we go from like a 65 or 80 roll like three times, and i jump out on him and he can't catch me, i hold him off. Then the other two races was almost dead even from a roll. I thought that I would have done better against a Srt 8 considering i got full bolt ons. He also had a passanger and I had my girl along wht a back pack and her little carry on suitcase. My car has 323 gears. I thought i would have done better, any ideas? Also my friend suggested we go at a slower mph or dig and it would have been game over? any suggestions against these SRT 8's ?

ya they are definetly from a roll they ride out, i definetly got a respect for them now, or maybe that modded one lol, i guess i'll have to try them from a slower mph or dig, but no way to really do that on a open interstate lol

I would guess he was tuned for you two to run that close. He may have had headers but they are not super popular for stock head SRT-8s.

Nice runs.
That seems pretty reasonable. When I was at the track a few weeks back I ran a 300C SRT-8 and it was pretty quick. He had a CAI and Handheld tuner and did a 13.1 @ 107 IIRC. Same day a guy from my local forum was out there in his Charger SRT-8 with a CAI and Cat-Back, his best that night was a 13.0 @ 108. Those cars can move out pretty well, only downfall is the weight!

No im still on stock stall and 323 gears and full exaust and frost dyno tune, ya im guessing he probably had full exaust tune as well but im still thinking i should have pulled harder especially with the weight advantage, mabe he had more mods?

I think the outcome seems about right seeing as you are an A4 and going from a roll. Have you ever been to the track? And if so what did you run?

Op, get a nice stall 3600-4000 and have it tuned to lock up at about 50mph. Roll race from a 40-45 with the stall unlocked and you'll have an easier time with the roll races. I'm surprised you did so well on a stock stall A4 from that high of a speed.

thanks alot guys, ya i definetly need to go from a little slower roll race like, and as far as stall goes definetly, but it's a daily driver so maybe a 3200 yank. Ya they are fast and great videos, that's kinda how my race went lol, maybe that charger had similar mods, but no lie i thought that with my weight advantage and mods i would have pulled him on the top end alot better than i thought but i guess not, unless he had alot more mods.I'm curious as to how i would have done from a dig? That z28 definetly had less mods than the ss and it seemed to be pullin harder for some reason ?

A 3600 imo is pretty livable. You may see a dip in city driving, but you are going to see that anyway even with a 3200. Highway doesn't matter as much because the converter is going to lockup once you get over 40mph(or if you have lockup tuned higher like I did at 50mph). Try to find someone local that has that stall. 3600 is the sweet spot for optimal bolt on cars while being dd livable IMO.
