Id really rather not ruin the OP's thread with this. My charger can more than handle the mach 1, cammed ls1's, etc on its all motor 5.7

Has a stock 5.7L Charger ever been in the 13's?
He runs mid 11's at about 116mph.
Not too bad for an NA 5.7l dodge actually.

I wouldn't go that far, there are a few cam only LS1's in the tri-state area that have run quicker than mid 11's.
And you did that at ATCO. The ones I'm talking about ran those times at LVR.

Thanks man. Did he ever prove this or is it just what he says? There was one at the track a while back that said the same **** to me but once he made a pass the slip said 14.5@98mph..

It has all the goodies pretty much and has the 5.7l record.
That is, before he popped it. So he isn't exactly beating anyone right now.

Unless I'm thinking of a different car in the area.

People always opening up cans of worms.
Glad this was covered before Stopsign got all excited again.

Yeah, it was a neat record.
About 1 second off of the stock longblock LS1 record.

Sorry, had to.

Good races! I figured that Cobra would be making 850ish, I guess the Mammoth Intake really makes a difference.

I like to know the reason behind a person acting so cocky sometimes as I act the same way to from time to time. I have worked on the Hemi engine before at my buddies machine shop and I have to say that the engine is a very good design and can make awesome power with the stock heads. But there isn't much more opportunity past the stock heads much like the LS3 heads. Don't feel bad about popping the motor man. I did the same thing to my 2002 Camaro Z28 but I also melted a piston.. Specs on old and new motor.

BTW I ran in the 10's N/A @ 3620lbs

Yeah, all we can do is port put the factory heads. My oil pump failed and that was all she wrote. The new motor is a forged 6.1 13:1 CR built for ethanol and a lot of nitrous . Using same 5.7 eagle heads, k1 rods and pistons. Ported 6.1 manifold and such. Old motor was stock block with heads, cam, 6.1 manifold, ethanol and other normal stuff. Our biggest problem is our fat asses with these cars. Im going to destroy the old 6.1 record with the new motor and thats my new goal.

Old motor was stock block? I had heard that you bumped compression a good amount in the old motor.
Could be wrong though.
