Default 99 SS vert VS 04 TL and 2011 Genesis 2T

This past weekend, I went to "Mexico" and had a chance to race two of my friend. All race were from a roll.

Raced the Genesis 2.0T multiple times, and it was not funny cause I thought he was not racing. That was how bad it beat him.

Raced the 2004 Acura TL from 70, I put it in 4th, and had about 4 cars on him by the end of 4th. He started in 4th, but downshifted to 3rd cause he thought his car was not pulling. I told him, your car ran fine, it's just that I have 100 more HP than you.

Why did I post this? I am bored, so sue me!

The Genesis are actually pretty nice/quick cars for the price you pay... but there is no way in hell a stock Turbo Genesis is going to be anywhere NEAR an LS1 anything. Was the TL a Type S 6spd?

Just 6 speed. Not Type S, and he mentioned something about making 205whp. Nowhere near 323whp.

I was not being a dick and a bully, but they wanted to see how fast their car is.

Oh don't worry, I'm not gonna accuse you of puppy-kicking . Did the TL and Genesis race? A regular TL 6spd and a 4cyl Genesis would be a pretty good race.

They didnt race on the same night, but they did race, and the TL took the crown i believe, but not by much.

Yeah, I'd figure the TL would pull up top.

Not really. The Genesis 2.0T Track that I drove was like $28,999 or something like that. Definitely things just as quick/quicker for less/the same money.

Weird, my buddy got his 3.8 track with nav for 29,500. 100% fully loaded.
A comparable G37 costs 15k more and runs the same times at the track...

You big bully! Lol. Sounds like you had some fun. What do those Genesis 2.0T's make at the motor/wheels?

That's just what was on the sticker.

Must have been a "Fair Market Value Adjustment" aka: dealer markup... or some stupid dealer installed options that are worth jack ****.
Not to mention the base 2.0T is $22k and the Rspec is $24.5k.

The 2.0T track was a stupid idea in the first place, which it was why it was ditched. Still more like $25.5 than $29k.

Obviously. That's why local dealers try to sell 5th gens for 40k+ or used ones for 37k+. (Not as bad anymore though) We are plagued by mega-markup around here.

Still more like $25.5 than $29k.
Trust me, I was astounded at the price. The V6 wasn't much more, but wasn't a Track version.

i wished he bought the 3.8, it might produce a more even race. time to get that pacesetter LTs and LS6 intake installed.

funny i got my 370z for 27k new and curb stomped them pretty easily lol.

but having said that the 2.0's seem to run around low 14's a couple have run high 13's stock i belive. no match for an Ls1. and your buddy was a goob for getting the 3.8 then again the 2012's are coming out with a 5.0 around what 433 hp or whatever.... gonna be interesting.
