Hahaha....your funny man. What are you making, 240 WHP with your mods? Get the **** outta here. Stock LS1 would rip your neon a new *******.
And OP...I wasted a stock GTP in my old firehawk. They are quick, but not quite up to LS1 specs. And if you raced a normal old 3.8, it wouldn't even be close.

And I never said my car is running 12's. I have never been to the drag strip. If you read carefully I said I would be happy with 12's. Please pay attention next time.

With you having an extra 500# in the car a gtp would give you a damn good run from a red light. exhaust and a pulley and you would get pulled. You can't hear the blower until it is in boost. Top end swaps are also very common in the grand prix world, so don't shrug off all gts with someone in it wanting to run.
Good kill man.

You sure can. ZZP sells a nice kit with lots of options. Car tuning also has a kit. My car was a gt with a turbo kit. Plate said justagt. lol Pound per pound the turbo will walk the s/c gp's.

the 04 gtp i had was a strong stoplight runner. it pulled pretty good up to 60 or so, then it felt like it let off. I loved running it at the drag strip with stockish fox bodys or sn95's that had the normal loud *** exhaust and cai who thought they were bad as hell. I'd kill them off the line and have a good lead up to around 1/8th mile. they would start reeling me in from there, but 9 times out of 10 I crossed the line first.
all this to say, good kill on a run down gt model, but dont be surprised to see a few pull away.

A FWD V6 is more fun? I don't know about that. I think a RWD V8 with tons of torque will always be more fun.
It might be fun in the way that it's a Sleeper, and a lot of people aren't expecting it to beat them. And I'm sure it's quick, which is also fun, but won't be as quick as a lightly modded LS1.

Weekend cruiser or a toy, like mine, trans am by a long shot obviously.
Hard to explain until you have drove one. They actually make nice torque. His would spin the tires at 20mph, it was bone stock. I will buy one for a daily when i pay my truck off. Full exhaust cai pulley and a tune would beat a stock ls1, for a four door sedan with heated seats and hud that is pretty awesome.. Plus the blower sounds sweet!
