Funny you had to post a blown/Nitrous feed TBSS vs a basically stock car. You can hear the 5.0 has no exhaust on it. So what tire and tune? If you read the comments the TBSS owner tried say it had bolt ons..haha.... What ever it takes for you GM guys to win.

That 5.0 is the fastest stock manual tranny 5.0 as of right now. Rest the guys are using auto's. The GT-R is the fastest tune/exhaust only with a best time of 10.0X.

For some reason, that sentence doesn't make too much sense to me.
As for the video, I'd love to be able to dump my clutch like that. If so, I'd be in the low 10's too, but I run stock suspension, rear, weight(above with a cage), tranny, gearing, etc. You might be able to do that in an fbody with a 12 bolt, but not a vette.

I dumb the clutch at 6k or a little above. Now I am building a engine doing a clutch at same time. I also have suspension though.

Very nice! The new mustangs are doing great. However, there are still some C5 and C6's doing quite well in the 9's. Rob's car is expected to go 8's soon on motor.

No one has pushed the 5.0 N/A really. Best is high 10's. Then every one decided to slap blowers on and go faster. I am going to push mine as far as I can N/A. Then spray it. Later add a blower.
Evolution Performance still hold the fastest 5.0 so far. It was rumored they are selling this car also. Still stock cu.in. just built engine with a F1 procharger. right around 1100whp and 3000lbs with driver. The wheel stand is crazy.

I've seen that video a lot lately. Very impressive!
The new 4v motors are no joke! But to think that there are IRS guys running low 9's and possibly high 8's with 400rwhp less, it is quite impressive since these cars were never meant to be 1/4 mile kings. On 18's on the stock IRS, suspension, weight, et, there are guys in the 700rwhp running mid 9's. Not knocking the 5.0's, but the 5.0's are still behind the cars that are capable of running 190+mph in the standing mile, while still keeping the stock suspension to turn good lap times while running 18 inch tires. The 5.0's that I have seen have suspension mods and bigger sidewalls on the tires.
