Default Got lucky

Last night I went to go meet up with a local car club that was supposed to start cruising at 9. Got the car cleaned up and went to where the website said they meet and didnt see any damn one. So I thought I'd cruise the main drag myself.

It was pretty dead for how nice it was outside. I drove past a SS cobalt, dropped a gear and hung out beside him. He stared straight ahead and ran a redlight, then pulled into a parking lot and dissapeared.

Seen what I assume was a v6 '11 mustang. Thought it would be interesting to see how they run, but he wasnt interested.

Cruised the strip 3 or 4 more times without luck. The only "race" I could get was on my last trip. I pulled up next to a lifted ram. New body style, diesel with subway pipe for exhaust on it. I didnt want to race at this particular intersection because there was two cop cars at the Mcdonalds, but I had drove by 3 times already and they were inside, not in their cars.

Light turns green and I wait for him to gas it. I can hear the thing wind up so I gave it a little, just enough to chirp the tires and lazy shift 1-2 at 4k, just keeping him at my rear bumper. Meanwhile his truck is making some much noise and smoke its embarrasing. We come to another stop light and he want to go again, and the result is the same.

Bout the time we both let off there is headlight swearving around people behind us. Truck is in the slow lane, the car pulled up behind his truck for a second, then came up behind me. Truck wisely turned at the next intersection and took off. Its the Popo.

I really had not got above probably 50 mph on this 35 mph road, not that he could of got me for speeding anyways, and I figured they would have gone after that truck since he made all that noise, but I just keep on cruising.

I know my best bet is to stay in traffic where its hard for him to pull me over. I stay in the left lane and keep on there until we get to the intersection for the highway. I get some distance between us because he has yet to flip his lights and I had to turn across traffic to go up the on-ramp and he had to stop to wait for a car. I get half way up the on ramp and his lights coming fast until they are nearly buried in my rear bumper, I thought about a brake check, but didnt. Lucky for me at the top of the on ramp, there is a group of cars we have to merge with.

He gets in the left lane while I'm in the right. I stay in the pack of cars and jump off at the next exit. He hits his brakes and pulls over just the other side of the bridge this exit goes over. He's got no way to get to me now. I also have out of state plates on my car, so I dont think he has a good chance of finding me later.

So, I cruised back around to the main drag. Along the way, I pull up behind a Cobra. I've gotta assume is the 03 and later model cause this **** was loud. I road his butt a bit to see if he'd get on it, but he wouldnt. He was driving right into the same area the cops were sitting earlier, and I tried signaling him to pull over to this side road where we could run and avoid cops. But instead of turning like I signaled, he just smokes his tires. I know I would have got smoked, but I'd still like to run him. Oh, btw, the car club met and cruised at
9am, WTF? who cruises at 9am?

9am. That's the smart way to do it during the daytime so you can see cops from miles away and more importantly the cops are not out looking for guys street racing in the morning or early afternoon: it's why I set up my meets at 9 to 10am.

if you were in the area, I would. I like to find somewhat odd ball races. after I had that GTP and no one would look my way when I wanted to race, I look around for those with uncommon hotrods.

embarrass you. nice.

I was trying to figure out how they would have found me cause the car is parked somewhere else where no one can see it. I only have my DD and truck listed at the place I live now.

I learned to hide it after the last time I blew by a cop where I used to live. they hunted that car for months.

Racing in town is ******* retarded anyway and just gives us all a bad name... Take it to the track or at least in the middle of nowhere so the only ones you're endangering are yourselves.
