Silly Nismo....
It's a long post about a low 12 second car versus a Z...so reading shouldn't be completely necessary
Went to help a buddy plasti dip the wheels on his T/A last night and on the way home I saw some headlights coming up pretty quick. Saw it was a Z as it got closer. Turns out to be a 350z and we hit a curvy section and he revved at me and sped up.
Saw it was a Nismo so I figured what the hell...jumped in the lane behind him as he sped up (trying to lose me on the last curve). That didn't work and I think it made him cranky.
Low and behold we hit a light. I hear his vacuum cleaner sounding revs again ( I hate the stock sound of the Z...so hollow and lifeless) and just smile. I'm on slick as baby's *** street tires but know it won't matter much if he tries.
But of course he does. Light turns green and he jumps so I roll heavy into about 3/4 throttle and the tires start grasping for traction. We are door to door with my car screeching and roaring as I try to feather it out. Finally get into 2nd and lay the hammer down but it downshifts back to first
I say "to hell with it" and just stay flat on the floor and start creeping away while still slightly spinning. The look on his face was pretty priceless. Finally catch second with almost a full car on him and as soon as it hooks I start pulling away quick. Another light and some rough pavement are ahead so I just let off and give him a thumbs up as he turned off.

Nice kill...I have had a few them try me in my G8 and the 5.0. Had a full bolt on try me in my G8. Same guy tried me in my 5.0. Both times he looked really really bad with his girl with him.

Lmao. I used to sell Nissan's and I would laugh when douches would come in and go car queer over the nismo say " Omg a nismo, it's so much faster than a regular Z " when in fact it was really just a bodykit and better suspension and brakes over a base model
Good kill

Good kill, especially when deciding to just lay it down in 1st and fight through the spins, ftw!

lol 350z's make me laugh. but, they do look nice IMO...
Heres a video of my roomates stock 02 WS6 in a three way with a full bolt on, cams and geared 3v, and a bolt on 350z....

reason I post that is because it will show you just how slow they are...

I'm not too certain about that, lol.
Was there even a 350Z Nismo? It's so insignifican't I can't remember. I do know about the 370Z.
In fact I raced one in my A4. He initially pulled on me from a roll, as expected.
But at the light he spun so badly he couldn't even catch up by the time I hit 80mph. What a craptastic driver.

there was a 350z nismo. It was quite insignificant. There is something wrong with Nissan lately. When they come out with a "performance" edition of either the 370z or the g37 ipl they really aren't much different. A few insignificant handling tweaks and about 10hp increase mainly by tune and small exhaust changes. I'd really like to see nissan grow a set and come out with a baby gt-r type g37. I'd consider getting it again.

Haha true, the only reason I mentioned it is because it's the only reason I paid much attention.
Anytime I see a regular Z that isn't modded I have to assume it's a sorority **** who was too good for a Miata or a v6 Mustang, but couldn't get daddy to swing for a beemer or merc.
