This is me against my friends cammed/bolt-on 6-speed trans am.... We go at the same time and I slightly pull on him. He ends up coming around me on the top end, but I held up very well for stock internal.

You need to wash that poor thing!

The shifting sounds quicker than an auto when left in OD, I like that. So doing it that way is pretending like it's a manual then. Just let it rise to 6,000 or so then slap it into 2nd, 6,000 again then slap it into OD?

No adverse affects from doing this on your car, are there?

Yes that is correct. Plust the rpm tach is not really that accurate in these cars. When you shift out of first you want to shift at about 5,000 rpm's and than just shift up into d for the rest of the race. You don't have to manually shift through all the gears you just want to make sure you hold it in gear from a roll race so your car doesn't have to downshift. Same if you go from say a 55 roll you want to hold it in 2nd gear....

not sure off that particular video but I manage a few accounts for some good size film companies that bring in about $300-500 a week sometimes more.

Ha! My car is almost always clean as hell. It had rained that morning and left water spots all over the windows...... The pic of the car was taken the same day. As you can see it was pretty clean.

Was checking out NiteRiderWS6's youtube channel page and found this ignorant comment posted on it.

It's so funny how you manage to get yourself so worked up every time someone disagrees with you! Is that how you go through life? Angry when you don't get your way or someone disagrees? Wow. Anyway, to answer your question, I do own a fast car, or rather, a few. I own a 94 mustang, a 2009 mustang gt/cs with a few mods, an '86 I-ROC Z28, and before this year is up, my hubby and I are purchasing a 2010 mustang 5.0. SUCK IT, BITCH!

Anyone else see anything very wrong with this comment?

Let me be the one to break the ice, and I'm sorry to temporarily change the topic of the thread.

1. A 1994 Mustang (didn't specify GT, Cobra, V6) is slow by today's standards, very slow actually.
2. A 2009 Mustang GT/CS is just an appearance packaged GT, 315HP. They are quick alright, but not outright fast. And plenty of stock LS1's can take these cars.
3. A 1986 Camaro Z28 is slow as *****...IROC or not.
4. 2010 Mustang 5.0? They didn't exist yet...not until 2011. You could buy them in 2010, but they were the 2011 models. What an idiot, sorry you have people like that on your page NiteRider.

i'm pretty sure, without a shift kit, at wot the car will shift when it wants to, regardless of when you move the selector from 1 to 2 or whatever. i think all you can do is hold it in gear longer (if it is short shifting). i guess you could manually put it in first, floor it and then shift to 2nd @ like 3k and see if it shifts when you do. been awhile since i've had an a4 car haha. i installed a shift kit in mine 3 days after i bought it.

either way, no at car making the same power as a mn car is going to keep up with it. a stall will def soften the blow and in some instances damn near even the match, but you can't argue with a direct mechanical connection vs a fluid-type. stalls will only delay the more powerful car from coming around.

How much better would my shifts be with a shift kit? Any ideas on where I could buy one? It seems like some of the faster A4's I see on here don't have shift kits though, any idea why?

Still very odd to see a Mustang outrun a Camaro.

His Mustang has 14 years of technology over me and over 60 HP more, not to mention better gearing (3.73's) and a 6 speed manual against my 4 speed auto. I think I did alright.

Noo, just drop the car in gear for the beginning of the race and as soon as you nail it put it in drive and let the tranny do the rest, no need to wait till 5,000 rpm and chance it hitting the limiter

Not that it matters but the 09 still had the 300 hp engine only the bullit had 315 in 09 then that engine was the engine for the '10. The CS was just a apperance package and added weight, lol.

Yes, because I noticed if you shift it to quick, it shifts to early for some reason. Idk why, but it did that in both my lt1 camaro and this one. Go try it out and let me know what you think after that

Kick it at the right time and let the computer be a pimp.

If you run your car enough you should know how much time you should leave for it to down shift.
