I haven't been goaded into a street race in a long time and never in my C5 but I finally let my inner teenager out and ran a G37 yesterday. I have a 2000 C5 MN6 with bolt on's and tune. Yesterday leaving work a G37 pulls beside me and starts pacing me down US1 near Cocoa. After a mile or so of him right beside me speeding up and slowing down to match me even we both stop even at a light. We leave from a light nice and easy and I hear him go to full throttle, I decide why the hell not and stomp the gas while still in 2nd. My TRACTION CONTROL ACTIVE light comes on and by the time I go to third he is more than a good ways behind. Then I get the ever so popular ricer fly by with his hazards coming on. It felt good to be a kid again but then I started to act my age and began looking around for cops. Good times.

Everybody knows the guy who puts his hazards on after a flyby is the winner. Good death!

What are the hazards lights on after a race, supposed to mean?

 

It is "suppose" to mean that you won the race when you turn on your hazards after.

Funny, I was looking at a G37, WRX STi, and the CTS-V when I was in the market for a new car. While I LOVE the styling of the G37, it just didn't do it for me in the performance dept & seemed only marginally faster than my modded Spec V Sentra. Such a let down.

I have never had any one put their flasher on after they beat me.

 

I stick my hand out with a peace sign when I beat a car.

 

I dont bother with the hazards or the peace sign... by then I'm too far to see anyway
