I don't get how some of these people are successful enough to afford any car, much less a toy. How the **** can you be successful if you can't type a complete sentence?

Hate to say it...but bad times are coming ecomomically. This "small" depression we just experienced is a precursor of what is to come. At the rate things are going, I can see a shift in the class system in America where the rich will become richer and the poor and middle class will move more toward the poorer side. The rich will continue to manipulate the markets and lobby for tax reforms that are beneficial for them. It is already happening..
Dump your dollars and invest in Gold right now and consider Canada as a second home until the smoke clears...

enough of this though....this is car forum.

We work duh...

I think a lot of it comes from people txting. Then we get on here and short hand every thing just like a txt. I know when my kids email me they are real bad at this. I have also caught my self doing this several times.

Only time I have to make sure every thing is perfect is for reports/awards/NCOER's.

No doubt that texting has something to do with it. For example...

When you say "ur" instead of "you're"...that is texting influenced.
When you say "your" instead of "you're"...YOU'RE a ******* moron.

I agree that some of it can be contributed to the texting thing, but you can usually tell when that's what is going on and even then, it's still usually coherent. Some of the stuff that gets posted up in here is painful to read and requires a special IQ reducing decoder ring to start to make sense.

How far back we talking? Sometimes I search for real old threads from before I signed up and I never recognize any names.

I thought it was awesome. The new z06s are much better on a road course but slow in the quarter. The 06 z's were 3130 pounds and trapped 124-126 mph in all the test. These new z06s are 3300 pounds and trapp 122 to 123 mph in every test ive seen so far. Kinda disapointing. If your gonna add 200 pounds with z07 packages ect. Then how bout a slightly revised cam profile for 525 hp.. Thet went from 385 to 405 hp on the c5z06 this way. What the **** gm. Your building 115k zr1s that get beat by 100k vipers and then charging 65k for ls3 z06 look alike vettes that can trapp 118 mph and then completely forget about your 80k z06 that put you on the supercar map?

They did go up in price big time. Funny I just asked Zturd about this and he said the older Zs are about 60 pounds lighter.

What year did they go up in weight? That would explain some of the stuff I've seen.

I've heard that some people in the Corvette world are getting worried that GM may discontinue the Z06. I believe their sales are down, which I'm sure the Grand Sport is partly responsible for.
