No doubt the 22s aren't helping but it also appears the tbss 60 like **** for the most part. Your buddy running a 12.7 with such few mods is very impressive. I know a guy with a cam and he runs alittle slower than that.
Since it is my wife's ride and usually carries our three children I don't have any plans for tires. As soon as the transmission craps out I'll put in a cam and leave it as is for awhile.

Your, "ignore him" tactic is what made the win. He was probably all ready to go and when he saw you weren't game (or so he thought) he let off an by the time it was on again the truck wasn't where it's was supposed to be. (RPM-wise) These things are decent when launched correctly, but if you have to play on and off the throttle and you're in the wrong gear/rpm, they can take FOREVER to get going. Eventually I'll mod mine but for now it's a decently quick DD. I have something else for real fun.
Nice play OP.

it's all in choice of converter my friend... and for the record, i ran 12.54 with just a converter (only 3200 vig at the time, not the 3600 yank i switched to) ud pulley, tune. My friend has built numerous low low 11 sec everyday driver TBSS's.. some stroker, N2o, boost, blown, etc. you have to have experience building TBSS's or you're waisting your customer's money with all the combo guessing (e.g. heads, cam, stall, whatever)

I dont have the N2O on the car yet. Its waiting for other **** so I can do it all at once. Plus, I still wouldnt waste it on a stock TBSS. No offense to any TBSS owners, but if I'm gonna use a shot, its gonna be on a Vette or a new 5.0 or a 5th gen or something I know I can't beat. Haha.
