Talking ran from the 5-0

a friend of mine and i were talking the other day and he asked me if i remembered a few years back when i still lived in california when i mached it from the cops on my way to school. i started laughing my *** off and had totally forgoten about it so i know its a somewhat kill but it was in mar. of 2002.

well i used to go to this JC called west valley and i had to take hwy 9 to get there from where i lived. only took like 10 minutes to get to school so one morning i was kind of running late to class had to pick up my friend and we were having a test that day. the bad thing was that my teacher locked the door on test day and wouldnt allow you to take the test if you were late so needless to say i was i a rush. going through downtown los gatos i get to hwy 9 and it starts out 35mph and then goes to 50 i believe. as soon as i see the 50 mph sign up ahead i mash it and get up to about 90. this hwy has 2 lanes on both sides but there is a thin treeline seperating the two directions. all of a sudden i see a cop on the other side of the road. he sees me and immediately flips the lights on and starts going the opposite direction to hit the turnaround to chase after me. once i realize this i punch it up to 130ish. i dont know why but its one of those split second decisions to make should i get pulled over, get my licence taken away( had 5 points on my record at the time) not be able to take my test fail the class and be a loser in life. sure its the domino effect that the whole world will crash if i dont lose this cop. any way i keep looking in my rearview mirror to see him make the turn around waaaaaaaaaaaaaay down the road and i know there is no way to catch up to me so i make a right onto quito rd. and make another right pull into a driveway and just chill for a few minutes. at this point i was shaking from all the addrenalin. dude i was so scared when i got back in my car to make it to school. i took the back way because i thought the cop would still be trolling around 9 to see if he could find me. anyway get back to school late cause i had to go through all that but luckily my teacher believed that i got pulled over and let us take it another day. ive got another cop story that happened right when i graduated and got my car still w/ the paper plates even but ill leave that to another time since you guys have practically read the whole book i wrote right now. sorry about the length.

out.

Good kill. A buddy of mine has run from a local cop a couple of times in his 85 Monte SS.

ask anybody who's ever been on COPS, how good an idea it is to run from the police... heh.

my dad has a great story about running from the police that's pretty similar to yours, and an even better one involving driving a retired 427ci police interceptor, blowing by cops at 120mph, and dodgeing a blockade set up speciffically for him.

My dad use to run from cops in his boat at Dale Hollow Lake. He would go across to Kentucky to pick up groceries and such. Along the border a mean SOB cop would always stop you to perform safety checks and whatnot. My dad didnt stop. He just put it up on 110 and left him in the dust. And yes, his boat could do 100+.

funny u should bring the cop thing up. i am currently awaiting for my license that i lost november 29 and i still have until march 29 to get.i have about 14 or so speeding tickets since i turned 16, ive gone through the whole point test and all. anyway, on my way up to westminster on rt 85 from penn state, i was goin about 85 in a 65 and then saw a cop faced right at me in the median and was too late too hit the brakes. so i mashed it and was goin about 130-140ish and i saw a clarion exit sign that said 4 mi. i was almost there with no cop insight (straightaway highway) until i had to slam on my brakes because 2 cars were goiin 70 right next to a semi. by the time they were out of my way i could barely see the cop lights and the exit was right ahead, i unfortunately said i dont need this to escalate and stayed at 75 until he eventually pulled me over. after he bitched me out for a few minutes he was tryin to get me to admit i was goin well over 100. i kept denying and he said " i was goin 135mph for 3 miles with you no where insight and i clocked you at 90 and you're tryin to tell me you were'nt goin over 100?, if you would have passed this exit up i was going to radio a hot-pursuit chase!!" long story shorts up to a $178 ticket which i find out 2 weeks later is enough for me to lose my license for 140 days and get dropped from insurance. this sucks.

He was too far back it was one of those things where he was stopped and out of his car so I just pulled the throttle back till about 130 or so then caught a green on top of the bridge on the first turn around then on the second turn around it was under a bridge so there wasnt a light, I had a helmet and leathers and gloves on so he couldnt even tell if I were black or white (early winter), one of my friends has some serious ***** tho....he will be riding with our little moto club and then when we see a cop eeryone will slow down...except him, he'll actually speed up to over 100 then flip off the cop and evade him if he moves just for ***** and giggles. He's an awesome rider but I dunno about that one...wierd thing is, sometimes the cops wont even bother to chase

everytime i see the show "cops" yeah it scares the **** out of me to see those chases and when they get caught. get your hands in the fuging air get on the ground and so on. it can all come to an end just like that. it just reminds me if that happened to me or even worse to crash at that speed and kill someone or even myself. i think those days of maching it from the cops are over. and the story of cops not chasing bike reminds me of a video on kazaa a while back i saw that had a camera in the cop car and you saw a flash of something fly by and then you saw the radar on the dash. it said 185 or so and the cop just didnt even think about chasing it.
