Two weeks ago he managed a new best. 11.82@116 and my car with bolt ons went 11.47@119.

Considering my 07 GT weighs more than your 5.0, and makes less power, that's pretty decent.

We've since added LCA's, 4.10 Gears, and have M&H Drag Radials. We are shooting for an 11.5

Clearly the 5.0 is a beast. However, that doesn't mean a well setup 3V can't do work.

Did you run your 11's on Street tires? What gear ratio do you have?

EDIT - I now see that you have Full Bolt-ons, gears, Boss Intake Manifold and a Tune with suspension mods. I assume by your sig pic you are running Slicks/Skinnies, correct?

The 11.4 was ran with full bolt ons and gears. BIg and skinnies. I ride on bigs(MT DR's) and skinnies 24/7. I do have some 19" GT500 rims that will go on it later. BUt I also have KDW2's for them. I run 4.10 gears but will be switching to 3.90's in the near future.

I know the 5.0 has more power then a 3V stock. Slap a SC and if a car with Bolt ons is still making more power then me. I would still be pissed. Main reason never bought a mustang till 2011. Point is I don't care what I drive. If it is FI and I am not running least low 11's high 10's I would be pissed. Unless I was running at like 6000 elevation.

My car is getting cams and few other little thing right now and will be tuned on E85. Shooting for least 530whp.

Sounds like a nice setup man.

I'm not too big on having the fastest thing around. Plus, both my Blown 05 and 07 are Daily drivers, and are driven all year round with an average of 10-12k miles a year on the low end.

Once I have a DD, The 07 is going to get a big stall, smaller pulley, and a small diet and shoot for low 11's with 400-425 RWHP.

When we ran the 12.2, it was at about 3400 DA, which was pretty high. Granted, it was only about 50 degrees out, the DA was high enough to effect at least a couple of tenths. Next Spring we are running it again, and we are going to try and find a day where it is about 1000-1500 DA at most. Chicago sucks when it comes to good track weather. Only a couple days out of the year to pull really good times.

I'm hoping for mid-high 11's this Friday with my 05 GT, so we will see what happens.

At a track, not everyone can launch properly, and takes a lot of driver skill. Which, I don't really have. I go to have fun, not squeeze the best out of my cars.

Hope you get some good times out of the 5.0. I am planning on trading my 05 in once I am not upside down for 2012+ 5.0.
