A well driven 97 Cobra stock to stock should be an Lt1 anything(sans a Vette) when they were new. Just a very tough car to launch and many people didn't air them out.
99 Cobra was a turd when new-they axle hopped like crazy too. Most could barely run 13s. The "fix" helped but a LS1 anything ate those things up back in the day.

I agree that many don't do the right mods for these cars. But before my shortunner I made 304rwhp SAE. People that are getting 280 are doing stupid **** like cai, tb, maf, ewp, etc. That **** is worthless on a small cubed n/a motor.

Also keep in mind that if these cars were both bone stock, the Cobra would walk pretty good. The Z28 dynoed 230 rwhp stock and put down 272 rwhp with the current mods.

Races were fun all around. Im anxious to do a dig run. Even with non DR Nittos I feel like I might be able to stick around. Only time will tell though. Gears are definitely in the future for this car, just not sure what ratio yet.

What was more upsetting was going to Cordova when DA was negative this summer whereas when I went last summer the car ran a 13.024@103.33 NA in 2700 DA. I can only imagine what the new pcm tune for the tranny and nitrous would have done for it in negative DA

Drivers race my ***!!! An 03 cobra stock and stock ss hard top would be a drivers race! 99 cobra lmao no contest ls1 will own it every time with equal drivers! The way stopsign talks i shoulda swaped a mach1 or 99 cobra in my car lol. NOT! Ford didnt make a fast mustang so i had 2 piece one together from different generations.

lol, your right i stand corrected! But what do they run like if not pulled up tight close to the limiter? Then they run like a 3v if the arent screamin bloody murder! And im curious to see how they will hold up over time.

you sir are a full blown retard! lol To make a small block ford fast it requires many after market parts show me a low 11 sec sbf ford with factory heads! My stock head crank and BLOCK 03 cobra setup will. Show me the the same with sbf!
