2000 Camaro SS vs 04 Pustang GT
So we just got done installing my friends 75mm tb and intake plenum (idk how you spell it) on his GT. So at this point he has a cold air intake, tb, intake plenum, and catback. So on our way to the car show we do a run. We both were at 60. I went to third he floored it. I began to pull on him then I went to fourth pulled some more. By about 100 we let off and I had him by a car length. His was auto and mine was an m6. All I have is a catback performance wise.

However, I am surprised he kept within a car length of you especially with that auto trans. The automatic transmissions really slows down that car even more. The GT with the 5 speed Tremec 3650 runs harder than a GT with an auto. I am wondering if that GT would have been right next to you if he had an M5???

Good kill OP. But next time slow down the roll run to 30-40mph. If you still only win by a car length something isn't right. But he took the hit and isn't 60 the bottom of third on a stock geared car?

What are the OPs mods? If his Fbody is stock no it should pull that much on a 40mph pull against a 2v with some bolt ons.....a 2v with bolt ons vs. a stock fbody from lets say a 40-120 the fbody should have about 3-5 car lengths on him so its really about right.

So one length from 60-100 sounds right, but it would pull another 2-4 from 100-120? Bear in mind this GT has 10-15hp more than a stock one. It's not even a race.

No given the equal hit from a 40-120 run (80mph pull) the Stock LS1 should put ehh id actually say 3 maybe 4 cars on a 2v with bolt ons. So yes from a 60-100 run (40mph) pull with the 2v taking the hit and the LS1 still winning by a car, yes it makes perfect sense.

Woah came back and this really blew up quick lol all I had was a catback and yes he got the jump I believe the 04 mustang GT came with 280hp stock because of 40th anaversery. Correct me if I'm wrong

They got the same 260hp as all the others. An automatic with those mods might put down 235-240rwhp.

Really depends on the cars honestly, I had a 99 T/A that had intake, and full exhaust on motor was prolly like a 105-106mph car (slow) and my 02 WS6 when it was BONE stock was real strong maybe a 107-108mph car stock, so I see what you're saying but itd take the perfect scenario really. Factor in the fact that its a roll and very rarely do either cars hit at the same time and anything can happen.
