You have never once seen me complain about that. I am the one who has people bitch at me when I talk about cars running in great DA like we have around here. And I am also well aware what a Z06 can do.

I know 5.0's that tarp better then that. I have yet to see a Boss get a clean pass at a track. One I seen ran 12.7-13's with traps anywhere from 110-115. This was actually in person not just on youtube.

Evan smith And MM&FF magazine tested the 2012 boss at the track. They put Mickey Thompson drag radials on it, adjusted the suspension to settings better suited for the drag strip and let it rip. He launched at 5k rpm(dead hooked), and did not let off the throttle for the shifts, power shifted every gear. Basically beat the ever living snot out of it, and got a best time of 12.0@113 mph.

here's my question........by the time i get my gt to milleville raceway, she's gonna have shelby mufflers, a boss302 airdam, and a boss 302 splitter installed, and hopefully ford racing brake cooling duct kit.

am i gonna have people bitchin at me sayin i'm not stock?

also you guys mentioned their 1/4 mile times....american muscle i think got 12.0s best out of their boss302 bone stock.

that particular airdam can be optioned onto any version of the mustang, except the shelby. when i ordered my car, i didn't have the money to opt it on, and i still would've had to find the boss splitter. found a guy selling them together. simple bolt on. shouldn't take more than about 30 minutes.

there's one white boss302 running around my area(lindenwold/blackwood), and 2 shelbys running around the cherry hill area that i've seen.

Agreed, it's more a tire thing than anything else: tire tech has advanced insanely in the last decade- hell, in the last couple years.

No, I chased down a Laguna Seca back on September 10th of last year and tried to race him. He wouldn't race needless to say, but he did have his little daughter in the car so I don't blame him. And the Boss mustangs came out a couple months before the Laguna Seca I believe?

Proof: (had my son snap a picture of it)

Respect is given where respect is earned. New Mustangs.

However, the old LS6 Z06 still throws down. One of my favorite cars

i wanted that wing on my gt.....almost ordered it, but figured i'd add it later. now that i'm adding the other stuff, i can't make myself order that wing, 'cause i'd have to drill extra holes in my trunk lid.

Times changed quite a bit from all the other year c5z06's to the 2004. I can't remember how big a margin, but the 04's had a good bit of distance due to the suspension change on the 04's. It's actually very very similar to the c6z's.

Local guy bought a Orange Boss and the first few times to the track; he could only run 13's.

Saw it a few weeks ago at the track running low 12's (12.2's) and then heard that was all he was after and it's now for sale.

Seems like a car that you have to learn to drive.

He is also the one who drove a bone stock C5Z to an 11.97 for GMHightech Performance magazine.

I will find the article and link. Boss impresses me for sure, and still have a lot of respect for the C5Zs
