Cant make everyone happy. Thats why I focus on makeing me happy. My car is 9 years old and still lookin good and decently fast. Thing is when your rockin a viper makin street racin videos with a mask on your gonna have some fans and some people who think your retarded. Whos right? I think both...

Bottom line is I try to contribute good videos to this section. Hit or miss its a fun hobby

 

I couldnt. If youve ever seen a gtr parked next to a nsx vette or viper it looks like a huge regular car. My vipers 47 inches tall. Vette is 48 inches. Fgt is 44 inches! (sick)

Gtr has to be 50 plus inches tall. To me the low widelook screams supercar while the gtr screams fast camry.

I respect the gtr for being a world class car. 11s quarter... 7s attne ring... 190s top speed. But at the cars and cofees ive attended it quickly disapeared

 

Maybe to you but the sheer size, width and unique look screams different to me. And check this out. I went to a Caffeine and Octane event in Atlanta and there was a ZR1 parked next to a GT-R. None of the people paid attention to the ZR1 while everyone was asking questions about the GT-R. Just sayin'

I hate to say this on this site but here goes.

Honestly you could park a 91 nsx worth 20k or a 92 viper worth 25k next to a 12 zr1 and by the end of the day the old viper/nsx would have generated 2 to 3 times more attention.


This is just the curse of the corvette. While we on this site and many other automotive forums appreciate the c6 z06 and zr1 as being somthing somewhat special (especially the zr1) the average 90 percent of americans who never visit these car sites just see another corvette c6 no differant than the one there brother, aunt or buddies at work have.

Honestly z06s at the cars and cofee ect might as well be camrys. Gtr as well. The gtr gets snuffed by the porshe owners rather quickly when they see how it looks in comparison to their 150k ptts. Almost everyones comment is its ugly or boreing and thats that.

But even the mass produced gtr at 12k a year is more special than any of the 30k vettes made a year. Simply put..... theres no entry level 50k gtr.

Love vettes. But they are just americas sports car

 

I dont know about a NSX getting more looks then a ZR1. I was at a Cars N Coffee meet today and there was a NSX and ZR1 the ZR1/Z06s got way more looks

 

i can understand that in this country most of us want to see cars from overseas as compared to what we see on a daily base's...as far as killemall says, well i guess some people would rather look a a nsx over a ZR1 !!!!....lolol not me...to each there own...there are some cras on this forum that are gorgeous and would much rather look at a beautiful f-body, vette, viper, shelby then any nsx...and for those people who hate the way the GTR looks, at 2.7 0-60 and a 11.1 quarter i would be happy...now a question killemall...how the hell does a viper beat a ZR1, when the ACR can even beat it...again yes magazine results...11.70 vs 11.21????...maybe in your world as a owner of a viper it does....and i did like the mask in the video...

 

The viper has been testedhead to head with the zr1 and is faster till 160 mph.

thanks AWDTBSS for that, 'cause he gets upset when you quote magazine times....pooooor baby...i have never heard of a viper beating a ZR1...the 600hp srt10 viper barely beat the Z06 , and lets not start at what RANGER ran with the ZR1...10.74 @133.00...if killemall owned the ZR1 it would be faster, what ever he has is better then what anyone else has...it's all about you, still trying to make us all believe your viper beats veyron's, agera's etc...now for the first time, you're actually ''pulling'' someone...you're viper is the only thing you have that makes you relavent...

 

Im just keepin it real. I dont own a 600 hp viper or zr1.

They are very close. They both walk away from stock z06s quite easily. Dont belieave any hype. Your average Z06 is a 125 mph carvwhen diven well. 126 is very good and 127 is amazeing.

The viper or zr1 will hit 127 with a novice driver.

Saddest part is the z06 wasnt stock like the viper. I know the owner and that blue viper went 10.9 at 130 mph stock on the stock oem rubber.

The reality is Ive beaten modded z06s back when I was just 470 rwhp. (got beat too) now at 500 rwhp a stock z06 is an easy lunch. The last 500 rwhp z06 i raced didnt have a passenger while i did and we both won a race and tied the third.

Thats a z06 with 50 rwhp over stock.

Now your telling me a stock 450 rwhp 3200 pound z06 is as fast as a 550 rwhp 3400 pound viper?

The viper beat the zr1 to 150 mph. 16.4 for the viper and 17.1 for the zr1. The viper also beat the zr1 on battle of the supercars to 60 mph and then 160 mph.

As well get it right. The viper didnt trap 122.8. It trapped 128 mph to the zr1s 127

 

Heres what corvette forum had to say when the viper and zr1 went head to head and the viper had a higher trap speed and was faster to 150 mph. Better you here it straight from them than me..

Ill leave with this. The viper and zr1 can both no bullsh$t get into the 130s stock



132 for the viper and 133 for the zr1 while the z06 has never eclisped 128. If youve ever been to a dragstrip 4-5 mph is a huge azz whoopin.

Love the z06. The recrd for my old viper is just 124 mph. 4 mph behind the z06 and nearly 10 mph behind the new viper and zr1.

So really Im not biased to any of these cars. Just trying to beat them like everyone else on this site. With my current mods ive got the z06 on lock but still not ready for the viper/zr1. But My plan starts tomorrow. Hopefully everything installed in the next week then zr1 huntin time!
