C5Z vs Evo 8

Even if the rice adds a shot i still would take the bigger displacement anyday of the week. Z can just pill up . Its still a evo anyway you look at it .

A car with headers vs a car with upgraded factory turbo, bolt ons, cams, up'd boost to **** my buddies running 30psi on his and e85 tuned. Id hope after all those mods he'd beat a untuned vette with headers. Just saying that's alot of stuff to beat a bolt on car. My point.

They are both fast cars and Evo won just as simple as that. Does the vette have room to keep up if not beat it, ofcourse and so does the evo and so on and so on. Its a debate that will go for pages no point in talking about anything else other then what they both brought to the specific race at hand.

The last thing I care about is Import vs Domestic, Ford vs Chevy or any of that ignorant argument bullshit. I just like a well put together car...just turns out that his is faster than mine.
Side note, I ******* hate losing and am going to fix that problem

The point he was trying to make - or at least the point I'M trying to make - is that a C5 Z06 is not in any way imaginable a inferior platform to mod versus a Evo. Or are you saying a evo is a better platform?

Just saying that it's fairly pointless to hypothesize about future potential mods.
Personally, I prefer the flexibility of AWD and the feeling/sound of a turbo. I don't really care for nitrous...too often the guy who simply bought the bigger shot will win...unless the bottle's empty...then what? Same with AWD vs slicks...I'd rather not have to worry about changing my tire every time I want to race.
That's just me and my preference; I can respect the other viewpoints.

I'm not sure if you are talking to me, but I am not at all. Its a clean car and a good friend of mine....

An Evo's power is based entirely around the turbo...it doesn't matter if there are a hundred mods done to the engine, if the turbo can't flow enough air, it's not gonna matter. The supporting mods on this Evo would be enough to max out the bottom end (a reliable 500, maybe 550whp) with a properly sized turbo.
Right now on this particular Evo, the turbo is the choke point...it's hardly at "full potential".
