I would say figure out how to mate the awesome flowing honda heads with a iron block 4G63 and all wheel drive and it would be nastty.
Speaking of EVOs, you should all watch Global time attack this weekend and watch this car break track records =P

What's your point? An Evo isn't limited to drag racing, like 90% of F-bodies are.
Most guys just want a reasonably quick car that can still turn a corner.
David Buschur DDs a 9 second Evo with full interior (probably a low 10 second on street tires). The car can still handle as well as or better than showroom new Evos do. A 9 or 10 second F-body is gonna be running drag suspension and slicks/skinnies.
Yeah...so?

IF THE EVO HAD A DICK YOU WOULD BE PREGNANT!

I'd just say that the Evo is a more flexible platform, and that's why people like them.

I would agree. EVO's are bad ***. I have few friends with them. All modded ranging from 400whp-800whp. The 400whp handed my G8 its *** when it was N/A making 380whp. It was at 370 at the time. I have watched the 800whp one walk modded mustangs/vettes/vipers. The 800whp one has ran low 10's on street tires. Trapped over 145mph as well. Have a buddy with a DSM as well. Makes right around 600whp. Ran mid 10's on street tires and trapped over 140mph.
And yes 5.0 over SS. I would also take a stock 5.0 over a stock EVO. Once modding begins its any ones game. Who has the biggest bank.

See what i mean! Not one thing was mentioned about the 5.0 yet you still in every thread one way or another you have to post about it! when it comes to defending the 5.0 you are captain save a hoe! I'm starting to think you have to be on fords payroll, from the shear amount of publicity you give it!

Now back on topic, I am neutral in this thread as I have stated earlier both have their +and-'s.

I'm not saying one is a better platform than the other...they each have their strengths.
Just saying that it's fairly pointless to hypothesize about future potential mods.
Personally, I prefer the flexibility of AWD and the feeling/sound of a turbo. I don't really care for nitrous...too often the guy who simply bought the bigger shot will win...unless the bottle's empty...then what? Same with AWD vs slicks...I'd rather not have to worry about changing my tire every time I want to race.
That's just me and my preference; I can respect the other viewpoints.
