I guess I'm underestimating theses new SRT8s, anybody know what they run in the 1/4?

I think they are good for mid 12s at 110 to 112ish...

Yup, but that's a real conservative guess. Kind of like mid thirteens for an ls1 fbody, as a guess.

Yeah, I think I saw 12.6 at 110 or 112 so I'm sure that we will be seeing some loooooow 12s stock once more owners that goto the track often start beating them up... I've actually been playing with the idea of trading in my V1 and getting one... I think they are sexy as hell!

Actually the SRT8 had bad shifting, it shifted into the next gear right after the hit. No matter how we look at it the video dosent lie if that 5.0 was stock it would have got beat.

Fastest time for a stock 392 Challenger is 12.2 @114 right now, I would imagine once the Chargers and 300's get some miles on them they will be right in that area. Also keep in mind there is no tuning for the 2011 or 2012 SRT8 line up. If someone could tune them I think we would see a 11 second pass with just a tune and cai.

Isn't it supposed to be on the same level as the new ZL-1 and the GT500?

Damn that's actually pretty good. i guess with good air and a nice prepped track everything can happen. the best i've seen for them at Irwindale is 8.3@86, granted, the fackers are spining a lot out of the dig, so i would guess with traction high 7's should be pretty easy.

And i concur with one of the posters, those cars are sex on wheels

the 6-Speeds are running around 12.5-12.8 the autos are the ones running the better times. So far the fastest time for a 6 Speed is 12.5

Well there is a way, guys are swapping the PCM from the 2010 in but you lose a lot of features on the car including VES

For a 4,100 lb car I am impressed!

A stock SRT-8 Charger against a stock Mustang GT...who would win?

Seems like the new Camaro SS might be picking up scraps from both of these cars.

Although, the SRT-8 is in the price range of the GT-500 and the ZL1, both of which crush it.

It pulled on the hit and up top. I dont think it would have got beat. I think been neck and neck. The cold air has showed to do crap with actual track times. Its all in the tune. A lot of guys are selling there cold airs for that reason. COld air and tune has went 11's already with the 5.0's. The SRT8's most likely could do it also.

They have ran the same times bone stock at tracks. And both have ranged in ET's across the country. It looks to be more of a drivers race then anything.
